This stuff is amazing. But you need to use a lot of it and don't put it in the dryer to dry. The directions do say to let it air dry for 12-24 hr's or, for best results, put in the dryer...I think the dryer removed the product. I also noticed that you really need to spray until the item is WET. The instructions really make it sound like you just mist the article in a uniformed manner and you will be all set. But not according to my experience. I learned this when I compared the results on a shirt and on a hat. With a had being so much smaller than a shirt it was hard not to spray to the point of getting the fabric wet (darker in color until it dries. Then there is no color/feel change). I completely covered the shirt in spray but not nearly as much as the hat. Once I tested the hat and saw that it worked like on YouTube, I was perplexed when I saw how little it worked with the shirt(both cotton). The shirt I put in the dryer was just like it had never been treated.Very poor directions....especially given the price!Don't skimp on application or you'll end up with a leaky nano barrier and have to reapply.Great product. Bad instructions. Hopefully that changes or this stuff will disappear!

i was a bit skeptical after seeing a bunch of reviews on the kickstarter and on these review posts but after trying it myself i have to say it works very nicely, i sprayed it till my shoes were fully soaked in them and then threw them in my dryer for about 40 minutes, once it was done i gave it a test run and i have to say i am very pleased that i saw the water bead off the shoes, though there were a few tiny spots here and there that didnt seem to be treated so i sprayed those spots again and this time left it to air dry for about 10 hours and VIOLA! Woke up and tested it out again and it works well, dipped my shoe in water and it came right off, i am very pleased with the product. Product came fully intact and filled (no spillage, bottle was full). I believe the people who complained about this product didnt fully use it correctly. For 2 shoes i used about 1/5 of the bottle and it worked fine! great product!

It doesn't leave the white film like NeverWet does, but I don't think it repels as well. You have to put a ton of it on fabric pieces to get good coverage and it is still so so.

I'd rather risk getting polish on my cuticles and get it off with polish remover.

doesn't really work....soaked my shoes in this stuff waited a day for the stuff to dry...and once i had gotten dust on them they soaked in water....not very practical at all

First off, I was not given this product for free to review so I wanted to give my honest opinion of the product. For me, this worked as advertised. You do have to use quite a lot and literally saturate your shoes but the water repellency lasted over a year and a half before I had to reapply. I did give my shoes two full coats of this and made sure they were well saturated. I left the shoes out in the sun to dry and tested the water proofness by holding my shoes under running water.I have used this on suede shoes, hiking boots and tennis shoes. Smooth Leather (unless it's suede) takes longer to saturate and you have to make sure you get it good and wet with the product. It did not leave any film on my shoes or discolor them in any way.I only gave this 4 stars because of how much you have to use but it does go a long way. I would purchase this product again.

I have used neverwet and liquid off and liquid off beats neverwet hands down for use ability. I sprayed a $20 pair of convertible pants I got from Costco with this stuff and threw them in the dryer and now they are super hydrophobic! Beats paying $80+ for water resistant north face hiking pants and had plenty left over to treat other items.One thing of note though I did have to spray the pants twice though as apparently I missed some spots as the pants were mostly hydrophobic after the first spray except for a couple spots that got wet. My recommendation is spray, dry, test, spray, dry.I plan to use this on shoes, hats, and a tent as well.

Wife used it and said it was ok, for the price i paid it is crazy how little you get compared to others out there. I wouldn't order again at this price.
