Incase CL57469 Perforated Hardshell Case for 15" Aluminum Unibody Apple Macbook Pro (Black)

Love the case so far, had it for a week now and it looks really cool on the MBP 15". The material quality has a nice rubbery finish and weighs in at 420 grams (I couldnt find this info anywhere prior to actually getting the case). The fit on the bottom piece is perfectly flush with the shape of my Mac, but on the top piece it bulges slightly outward. This case does provide better grip than the original MBP rubber feet and doesn't seem to make my Macbook run hotter. Overall I really like the case for my purpose which is protecting my MBP in a backpack instead of sticking it in a sleeve to avoid scratches.

I think this is one of the better cases out there for a couple of reasons:1) It has a very snug fit. The only place where I see a deviation from form-fitting is the back of the screen - it isn't quite flush (i.e. you can press on the case and there is ~2mm of play between the case and the aluminum screen back). Other than that, the clips are non-descript, and the whole thing is, in a word: sleek.2) Great feel. It certainly provides a better grip than the aluminum body but isn't sticky. It's a genuine matte finish that doesn't smudge (unlike many of the so-called matte finish cases, which get fingerprint marks all over them). It's not merely a matte-coating. The material itself is black, soft, and matte.3) Ventilation. By virtue of the very design this is the best ventilated hard-case available, without a doubt.4) Full range of motion. There is absolutely no loss in range of motion that the screen can be tilted to. Also, it's not heavy at all and certainly won't cause your screen to "creep" in any direction due to the added weight.Granted, I have only had the product for about a week, but so far this is my analysis and I am a VERY critical person. Anyone who says that this case doesn't fit well probably didn't take the 30 seconds it takes to look at the pictorial instructions and put it on correctly.Also I read in previous reviews that the center of the screen back (the part that your thumb pulls on when you are opening your computer) is loose or moves a lot when you open the computer. This has not been my experience (it remains completely flush with the aluminum casing) and I suspect that those individuals either didn't correctly install the case or possibly had an older generation case that had a manufacturing error. Nevertheless, if I had to choose which case to buy again, I would buy this one.

This is a great case, I really wanted to keep it, however it doesn't fit the Mac Book Pro with retina display. Seems very sturdy & great looking.....wish they had one to fit!

2 years ago I bought one incase hard shell case and it fitted my macbook 13" just outstandingly perfect. And after 2 years it still fits great and I love it.This new hard shell is very good quality product and looks great, but I can say I expected a little bit more than I get. It's only 95% perfect - sometimes my macbook pro 15" desktop part (with keyboard) gets out of case and I have to fix it. It's ok, I can live with this.

Well it won't change your life but it looks awesome. Its made of plastic with a thin rubber like coating on it which gives it a little grip. The coating will come off in places that get wear and tear. Mine is coming off on the bottom corners from rubbing against the zipper of my backpack. You can't really see it unless your really close because the plastic underneath is black as well. It's perforated so there is holes in it. These holes won't protect from spills and can get crumbs in them, but I'm pretty messy and have only had to pick out two crumbs in a month so it's not that big of a deal. The case fits great and doesn't move around. The main reason you need this case is it just looks cool. You will probably sit there and stare at your computer closed for 5 minutes and just think about how effin awesome your "new" macbook pro looks.

This case looks great and provides some protection, but it adds a lot of weight to my computer!

I did pretty extensive research to find a case that would please me for my 15inch Macbook Pro...A case that was black, rubberized - with a finish that wouldn't rub off, aesthetically pleasing, had a discreet logo, didn't overheat the comp, fit well w/unobtrusive clips, and one that would let the laptop open ENTIRELY.Safe to say all of these requirements were met.This case is SLICK AS HELL - the holes are smaller than expected, and a welcome surprise. It significantly exceeded my very high expectations in all regards.

About a year ago I noticed someone who had a black perforated hardshell case for their macbook air. I have been looking for quite some time a black perforated case for my 15" macbook pro. Before I didn't have much luck finding it in the right color or size online or at the stores, so I am very excited to finally find this case. It fits perfectly and is exactly what I have been looking for. It doesn't weigh down my computer and it is easy to install. Thank you.
