Stable shelf with a great look that easily stacks if you buy multiple shelves
This is a fantastic product. Metal quality is excellent and once assembled it is stable. Assembly took about 5 minutes. The chrome finish looks great in the kitchen. I used this to add extra storage space in a kitchen closet - perfect fit, the dimensions were exactly as stated. The quality is well worth the price, this is much better than the thin wire shelf extenders I has seen in the past. It is very easy to select your height AND I bought 2 shelves which very easily stacked on top of each other with a solid connection. Perfect storage solution offering multiple heights.

Sturdy, Easy-to-Assemble Shelf Perfect for Garage Storage
I’ve been using this Whitmor 3-Tier Shelving Unit in my garage to store boxes of computer parts, and it has been a great purchase. Assembly was extremely simple — everything snaps together, and you don’t need any tools at all. I had it fully set up in just a few minutes. The shelf is very sturdy and stable. I keep several heavy boxes of PC components on it, and the shelves don’t sag or wobble. With a 400-lb capacity per shelf (1200 lbs total), it feels solid and reliable, even for heavier items. The chrome finish gives it a clean, polished look, and it fits nicely into a garage or workspace without taking up too much room. The only small thing I would change is that I wish the shelves were slightly deeper, but for most storage needs — especially computer parts, tools, or household items — it works perfectly. Overall, this is a strong, dependable, and easy-to-assemble shelving unit that delivers exactly what you expect. Highly recommended for anyone needing durable storage in the garage, kitchen, or utility areas.

Super shelf I purchased to hold my mini refrigerator in my office at work. Outstanding purchase. Other team members have purchased after seeing for their office. Sturdy and stylish.

SHELVES ARE LIPPED, but quality computer workstation
This is now the second Whitmor cart I've purchased. I got it for insulation, really: putting the cart in a picture window allows light in; yet the stuff on its shelves, blocks air flow when it's too hot (or cold). Easy to move out of the way. If you like lipped shelves, then you will like this cart. You cannot install the shelving properly, lip-down: each shelf is potentially unstable if bumped. That will matter if what's on the shelf is heavy or important. As in, a computer. For this product would otherwise be ideal for holding computers. So, I assembled the cart lip-up. HINT: do the bottom shelf first, and put the wheels on last. It's easy to assemble, if done that way. EDIT: the first cart (review below) is now deployed such that an old Win98 Dell Dimension tower sits on the lowest shelf, and an HP Laserjet 4 sits on the top shelf. In between, is a shelf for paper and peripherals. The monitor sits right of the cart, in white shelving. That gives you a sense of computer station usage. Import: it's easy to move the unit out to plug and unplug, remove paper jams, etc. Original review of the first cart, follows below. Second is substantially the same. ===== On the cart, I had placed my Optiplex 780 (SFF) with monitor on the top shelf; my huge Dell 8400 tower sits on the lowest shelf; in between (12" clearance), are peripherals and wireless keyboards useful with either computer. It is stable, and moves well on the house carpeting. Thus I can wheel it forward for clearer viewing, getting behind to mess with cables, etc. I don't want to lift the tower out from the lower shelf, but merely slide it. The lipping problem is solved by putting a large but relatively thin (1") coffee-table-sized book beneath each computer, enabling each machine to slide above the lip. It works, but is not ideal. I lined middle shelf with rubbery kitchen drawer liner, to keep air flow but mask the cords below. So only due to the lip-up shelving, is this five-star product rated four stars. If you prefer a lip-down design, get the similar-quality Seville cart here in Amazon for about the same price. I bought the Sevilles, too (and reviewed them). NOTE: a computer chassis on a chrome chart will emit a vibration when on. Depends on the type of chassis. The old-fashioned tower emits almost no vibration. But a small form factor like the Dell 780, emits a substantial hum you can feel when you touch the cart. Due to that, the above-mentioned 'book' is more important: it nearly eliminates the vibration.

Useful, sturdy, adjustable
I have six of these; four I bought recently and two I've used successfully for years. PROS: Easy to assemble - I hauled these down the basement ladder, while in their boxes (they are heavy), and assembled them by myself. The job of fitting the shelves (especially the first one) onto the vertical supports would have been much easier with a helper, but I figured out a technique that worked for me and did it all on my own. I'm 5'3". Adjustable - You can adjust the shelf height, which is very useful, but it must be done during assembly. Taking it apart to change the shelf height can be difficult. Spare parts - An extra set of shelf supports is included, in case you break one. None of mine broke during assembly, even when I had to take one apart a few times to get the shelf heights just right (another time a helper would have been good). Sturdy - These feel solid and heavy-duty. We store cases of wine and other heavy items on ours. We live in earthquake country. We've never had a big one when're we are but many smaller ones and these have been just fine. Attractive - Okay, this is subjective. For something used in a basement or garage (our applications) they are attractive. We replaced old plastic shelving and funky shelves someone built out of old and damaged kitchen cabinets. These make the space feel lighter, better to be in and cleaner. Functional - Seriously. The open wire shelves allow air-flow, which is important when storing anything in a climate that isn't completely arid. Their sturdiness means they are very functional for storing light and heavy loads. Adjustable - 'nuff said there. If you set the shelf heigh to just before the top of the support posts you can even hang bags and the likes off the corners (be sure the weight doesn't outstrip the shelf weight or what is loaded on it). The shelf construction lends itself to easy wall anchoring for extra safety (kids, earthquakes, etc.). CONS: Weight: Heavy-ish (also a pro). Hauling these might be difficult for an individual working alone or when moving in to/out of awkward places. Adjustment Method: Shelf height adjustment is best done during assembly, so you need to know what you are storing and its dimensions at the beginning. Shelves *can* be adjusted after the fact but it is difficult to pull the shelf up off of the plastic piece that holds it in place (partial friction fit). I recommend these shelves and bought more because we were so happy with the old ones (which are still going strong).

Muy fácil de armar, material resistente, buenos acabados. Se puede apilar para los niveles que se necesiten. Buena capacidad de carga. Las patas tienen un soporte que se puede ajustar para nivelar la altura en los cuatro puntos. Altamente recomendable.

Recently switched from a front load washer to a top load. Didn't want to have detergent sitting on top of the dryer, for fear of vibration knocking everything to fall on floor. Was originally going to put a cart in front of laundry sink and still might but this fits perfectly between the washer and dryer. I like that I can pull it out as needed and it tucks away again. It holds a large Costco size box of powdered detergent at the bottom plus a less often used stain remover. The middle shelf holds a box of borax and washing soda, and a detergent jug. The top holds a detergent jug plus Lysol wipes, and a small container for dryer lint. The cart was easy enough to assemble. The instructions were fairly clear. It was a little fiddly doing it alone, but I had my husband help at the end. I like that the wheels lock, if needed. It looks great, and not at all cheap-looking like many plastic carts. I like that it's sturdy chrome and not plastic. It's very durable and well made. Excellent warranty. I bought on sale so it was quite reasonably priced.
