Just what I ordered, perfect fit

I used it on a John Deere 310a backhoe tractor for many months now and no leaks. I installed a Kat's 13150 1500 Watt Aluminum Circulating Tank Heater which uses boiling water to push the coolant up and around leading to a warmed up engine for fast start. I got this brass because it is hard to find in stores based on this size 5/8 Inch Barb × 1/2 Inch NPT. I got a heater hose rated for the coolant temp and everything works as should. I am happy.

I got this to move some hydraulic oil from a pressure pump to brake line feeder via pressure. These work as intended and they do not like anything leak out. They're built just right

It's a threaded male to threaded barb fitting. That's all there is to it. It doesn't have any defects like porosity or cracks that would cause problems.
