You can leave the lid on. You press the button on the top to release the seal & it works in the same way as disposable cups (with a slightly longer neck). Hope that helps.

We a Vauxhall Mariva and it fits ok... the diameter of the base is 6mm the widest is 25mm and the depth is 23mm long and slim ideal for most car I would think... If you can fit a can of pop you can fit this mug.
