Great for people that reload their own ammunition
I reload my own ammunition and after a short while you can collect quite a bit. I ordered these items to place in the ammo cans to keep moisture out of the cans. The gel cases are small but really effective. I would not only recommend these, but I plan to buy more in the near future.

small
i really expected these to be bigger based on the photo so be aware that they are really small and will not absorb a great deal of moisture. they are only about an inch in length so they would be good in some tight space that you need to absorb moisture but are not practical if you have any real volume.

Would not buy this product again!
I was very disappointed with this product! It arrived minimally ready to be used for the intended purpose. In only a few days, they had to be heated in hopes to return them to their optimum status. After following directions to the letter by heating them at 250 degrees for 2 hours, the descant was still green. They were kept at 250 degrees for another thirty or so minutes, and still did not respond. I would not buy them again, even though I wanted several more if they had worked!

Nice, They work great
Nice,They work great. They fit inside an ammo can without taking up to much room and keep your ammo dry. A must have for long term ammo storage. Always be prepared!

They work great collecting moisture
You get 4 canisters. They measure 2" x 1" x 1/2" . They work great collecting moisture . To get rid of the moisture they have collected you put them in a oven to bake the moisture out that it collected. Just like new again. Good product.

Small, convenient, no instructions
I am aware that silica gel can be re-vitalized by placing it in an ordinary household oven, at a given temperature and at a given time, to drive out the absorbed moisture and thus re-use it. But could not find these instructions in the package.

Non-color changing? Read this
So I was surprised when I received these that they were so small, but then I realized these were the 10-gram instead of 40 gram. The 40 gram are good for about 3 sq ft of air so you can do the math. In my case this is more than enough. When I removed them I instantly noticed that they were pink in color and assumed they had to be recharged. I tossed them in the oven at 300 for 2 hours. When I removed them I noticed they were still pink...I decided I better conduct a little research. I turns out that a few years ago, several companies removed cobalt chloride from the manufacturing process. The cobalt is what used to turn these containers from blue to pink. The new silica actually are orange (pink) when new! So they will go from orange to clear when saturated. This CLEAR color is what should be used to determine if it's time to recharge. Hope this helps!tl;dr: orange (pink) means it's good to use. If beads are clear than recharge.
