Fresh Step Multi-Cat Scented Litter with the Power of Febreze, Clumping Cat Litter, 42 Pounds

This is excellent clumping litter! It clumps well. We have a mat in front of the box, and the box is covered but flapless. In spite of this, other litters we've tried seem to get tracked everywhere. This litter does not. The very little bit that does escape is easily swept up. This litter really controls the odors associated with a litter box. We keep the box in our small laundry room, and, even in that confined space, the smell is minimal. Every once in a while, the cat will have an extra stinky poop. Initially, we smell it, but the smell dissipates quickly. We feel like we don't have to worry if we can't empty the box immediately after one of these extra stinky deposits. The febreze scent is subtle. We tried the 'Arm and Hammer' multi-cat litter once and had to throw it out! The floral scent was overpowering (the whole house reeked of chemical flowers); yet, it failed to cover the waste odors. Also, it tracked everywhere. We are sticking with the Fresh Step!06/10/18 REVIEW UPDATE: Due to unusual and unfortunate circumstances, the litter box did not get scooped out for 5 days. Even with all the accumulated waste, the smell was virtually non-existent! When we walked in the house, we couldn't smell the box. We didn't smell it until we went into the laundry room. Wow! Also, don't worry, our cat is happy and healthy. Our neighbor fed him, and gave him fresh water daily. He just didn't empty the pan.12/09/19 REVIEW UPDATE: Just for the heck of it, my family wanted to try a cheaper clumping litter. They pointed out we could get the same amount of litter for, approximately, half the price. I told them to get it, but that they were now the sole managers of cat pan duty. Within 2 days, they threw out the cheaper brand. It had no odor control ability. It could barely form clumps. Instead, it would form wet patches of semi-cohesive muck. When the guys tried to scoop it out, it just broke apart into wet crumbs. Even though we currently have only one kitty, the cheaper litter was so bad, the guys had to empty the whole pan daily. They couldn't just scoop out the yucky bits. It tracked everywhere. You could see little kitty footprints on the wood floors. Nasty! We went right back to the "Fresh Step". It is, initially, more expensive, but it is cost effective. You can easily scoop out the waste. The litter that remains in the pan is still fresh (so to speak) and viable. You just have to top up the pan once in a while. When we do empty the entire pan, prepatory to a deep clean, it slides out easily. "Fresh Step" retains it's heavyweight champion title.

Man, I've had a year trying to find good litter, and just landed on this one, which 4+ years ago I would've said is not good. First, the price is right, especially for 42 lbs. Second, it controls odor really well. Third, it comes in 4 smaller packs, which makes carrying it around so easy, even compared to a normal box from the grocery store.We have 3 cats, with 4 litter boxes. One little bag from the big pack will last almost a week for all of the litter boxes. I end up buying a 42 lb pack every 3-4 weeks. It clumps well, is easy to scoop, and has a pretty traditional scented odor. I don't find much tracking, and the dust is much lower than 5+ years ago.I used to use PrettyLitter, which was extremely smelly after 2 weeks. After getting urinary issues resolved, we switched to SmartCat to try something seeminly healthier. However, I was not pleased with it for a few reasons, and have since switched to this. It really is working well, and they even have a rewards system on their app, which is pretty great for something you're stuck using.

I walked into my friend's apartment and her litterbox was in the middle of it. She admitted that she had not been the best cat mom and it had been a few days since she scooped the box. I asked, "then how the heck does it not smell in here? not even like litter??" I have two cats; Studley is 8 and his sister, Savanah, is 6. I have tried many different cat litters and get rid of that "litter" smell and something that masks Studley's stinky poops. I immediately ordered this litter! I actually buy litter in bulk so I have been putting small amounts of this one on top of their old litter (I'll keep using it until it's gone!) and it MASKS all smells, even the litter that is underneath this one. I would buy this litter if I were you. Just do it. You're welcome.

These bags are great. I've used Fresh Step for the past 16 years and I was very disappointed when they discontinued the plastic pails a few years back and went to boxed products only. I always found the boxes messy and once empty it seems impossible to get the last traces of litter out of the box prior to putting it in the recycle without tearing the entire thing apart. Plus, once I started ordering litter online from Amazon, I had terrible problems with the packages arriving with at least one broken box of litter inside and loose litter trailing out of holes in the outer box. One time the UPS guy left a trail of litter all the way from the delivery truck to the front door.When I saw these plastic bags offered I figured the price was right so I gave them a try. Yes... 42 pounds is extremely heavy, but the handle is very strong and sturdy and it's made of some kind of stretchy plastic so it doesn't cut into your hand when you lift it like the plastic handles on the larger cardboard boxes. Once I got the hang of it I actually found it easier to pour into the litter pan than the boxes.I haven't noticed an excessive amount of dust, it seems to be the same Fresh Step formula I've used for years.

I absolutely LOVE this brand of cat litter. I have two kittens and the 42-pound bag is perfect for filling two large litter boxes after being dumped and refilled. It smells great, but it isn't too strong for the kittens. It masks odors really well and clumps super well. The big bag it comes in is resealable so it's easy to use for refills in between washings. However, the packaging left something to be desired. The box was flimsy and probably not the right box for the product (it's too big for the bag so it got smashed quite a bit in shipping). It seems to have been haphazardly wrapped in an outrageous amount of tape and this combined with the poor condition of the box made opening it a pain. I wish that the picture provided was a picture of the bag instead of this box because it is a little bit misleading. All in all, I love the product but did not like how it was shipped.

Es fácil de limpiar, OJO solo "disfraza" el aroma, no es como que no huela para nada, pero eso es normal con prácticamente todas las arenas (vaya, hablamos de pipí y popó...) Aglutina muy bien la orina y reseca las heces. Últimamente ha estado más fina, por lo que se queda entre las patas de mi gato, pero no es mucho. Me dieron la opción aquí en Amazon de programar la compra cada dos meses, y me parece genial, así aseguro siempre tener jejejeje

Me gusta muchísimo esta arena, solo no la compren con EMAGINE SOLUTIONS por que no envía la Multicat strength, envía la normalita Total control. Ojo con eso. La Multicat strength es buenísima.

Generalmente compro esta marca pero compro la versión del costal de 14lb que venden en los supermercados como Walmart, compre esta versión para probarla, pero está horrible esta versión, se observa de baja calidad, levanta muchísimo polvo y no aglutina la orina, al segundo día la arena está toda mojada

Ya lo había usado antes pero no se consigue desde hace algún tiempo, pero el producto no llego en la presentación que muestra la imagen

Me encanta esta arena, huele muy bien y aglutina Super bien, el precio es caro pero vale la pena.
