Sony WH-XB900N Extra Bass Noise Cancelling Wireless Bluetooth Headphones with Mic, 30 Hours Battery Life and Quick Charge - Optimized For Google Assistant and Alexa – Blue

I've been on a long journey amongst wireless headphones to find a set that I actually love. With these Sony XB900's , I've finally arrived at my destination. Had the 1000' 3's before. Not very comfortable and the sound was too neutral for my ears to enjoy, even with adjustments to the app. Tried most budget wireless headphones : Bluedio, Mpow and even latest Edifier ( which are very good considering the price) However, the budget brands were exactly that. Cheap and not always cheerful. The XB900's are very comfortable to wear for long periods of time. No pressure points on top of my receding head and no discomfort with the ear pads ( The 1000' 3's are not as big or as comfortable. Yes, I got a little sweat from the pads, but I got that from Denons lambs skin leather pads on the D7200 (Wired) anyway. The noise cancellation works perfect, drowning out almost everything. The ambient sound control also is a nice touch that works reasonably well too. With the Sony app, I've found the best setting for my personal tastes is the bright feature. This brings out the mids and highs in a very detailed manner whilst still giving me the solid, but not bloated bass that I like. Much better control over sound than the 1000'3's. Using Poweramp app on my phone, I've set my equalizer to a V shape which suits me fine. Side swipe/ up and down commands work spot on. Only gripe is that you don't get a case like the 1000'3's, but bought a second hand one (known auction site ;-) for the 1000'3's which incidentally, the XB900'S fit in perfectly, see photo. Don't know about battery life yet, but will update at a later stage. I must admit that I was dubious about the positive reviews from Vine freeloaders, but they are correct. Im a verified purchaser and if I wasn't happy, I'd let people know. I'm absolutely delighted with these and at last my journey is over, but the music begins!

I had to return the Jabra elite 85h within a few days of purchase, as usual hassle free returns with Amazon. On paper the Jabra was a better choice given that it has bluetooth 5.0 and multipoint connection. However the Jabra's were defective with a crackling sound off and on, one speaker not working intermittently, and Jabra support poor in communicating only through emails. The Jabra's did not produce good mid range and high's if you maxed out the bass, and vice-versa. The volume was poor as well. Hence on the sound front it was inadequate although the cloth outer texture was unique, and it had on ear detection. The Sony on the other hand may not have that good a texture, but it outperforms the Jabra on all fronts - comfort and sound. The bluetooth 4.2 does not make a difference. It supports LDAC if your phone does. The clear bass function allows you to increase the mids and highs on the equalizer, no distortion - Sony knows what it is doing. The DSEE enhances the low quality streams. They are lighter than the Jabra's, hence more comfortable with prolonged use. Noise cancellation at par with the Jabra, and very good for the price. If it is sound quality you are focussed on, then go for the Sony. The Sonys' are like a Japanese car! The delivery took longer than usual.

Noise cancelling does remove constant noise like washing machines, boiling kettles and fan ovens, anything with a constant drone, but traffic and speech, whilst noticeably quieter are still audible. Sound quality is great, some say too bassey, but with a bit of adjustment, you get a good balance and now I'm noticing bass lines that I've not properly heard before, like on queens of the stone ages in the fade being one example off the top of my head. Comfort wise, you could wear these forever and I often have a nap on the sofa whilst listening to music with no discomfort, but as mentioned by some, your ears can get warm in them. The swipe gestures are neat feature and the touching the right earphone with your palm to turn off noise cancelling and quieting the music feels pretty swish.

I think I’ll be sticking with this range from now onward. Great sound quality, very comfortable, good battery life. You either love or hate the hand gesture controls and I love them, they’re easy to remember, not sure why anyone would have problems. I also like the control to stop noise cancellation briefly if you’re speaking with someone. You just place 3 fingers over the right side, and noise cancellation stops until you take your fingers off. Very responsive and you really notice the difference. I recommend them.

I was concerned about spending this much on headphones but I'm happy to say that these are really good headphones. The battery life is very good and the sound quality is amazing. They are comfortable as are well padded. They don't totally cancel out noise, but don't want them to as daughter using walking to college. Very happy with the purchase.

I bought these whilst on offer & really like them. I use them to connect to my phone whilst working from home & can pick up calls & chat quite comfortably. Sound on phone & feedback from callers has been great. Sound good & I found I can easily walk into other rooms without carrying the phone without any crackling. Have hooked it up to my laptop, phone & iPod. Bit peaved though that you had to buy headphones case as an extra - a hard case should be provided with these based on price.

So I bought these lovely headphones during the black friday sales for 129 pounds (A huge price drop from its original price) and I've been very happy with my purchase. Major pros: BATTERY LIFE (I'm a heavy user and these last pretty long compared to most other headphones) & Sound Quality (I think this might be subjective but I usually listen to R&B, Hip hop, House etc) is amazing on these. Noise cancelling isn't particularly the best but it's definitely excellent for it's price point. Some cool features: 1) Quick attention mode is definitely helpful when you need to start a conversation out of nowhere (ordering, small talk etc). Basically you cover the Right side of the headphones and the volume reduces instantly to hear ambient noise 2) Multi mode custom button: Ambient noise vs Noise cancelling (Pretty handy to switch modes easily) plus you can swap it for google assistant/alexa - Minimal listening fatigue when listening for hours which is good since i'm a heavy user Honestly, I would definitely recommend these pair of headphones if you want a good set of headphones but dont wish to spent over 150 pounds.

So first off this headset served me well until a few days ago. The charging cable got caught as I lifted the headset, and it snapped after just a tiny bit of strain, being picked up. All of my other headphones were used pretty much the same everyday and lasted me 3-4 years before I considered buying new ones. All of them still work and aren't broken. This however snapped under light strain. The headphones got about 2-3 hours use everyday on average. Bought it in Jan2020 and broke Nov2021. Less than 2 years. If it snapped on me at 3-4 years then I would say these are great and lasted well. Sound wise I would say they are quieter and not as good sounding as previous different models like the the SONY MDR-XB950BT which served me very well. These did get quite uncomfortable after a few hours use as the earcups deflate. Would say comparing to other Sony headphones the feel quality of the build parts are not as good as previous Sony headphones so if you get these for under £120 (got mine for £160ish) then I would say its okay to buy them but expect less than 2 years use before they issues like mine. The controls are excellent, using the right earcup via touch to change track, mute so you can hear outside, pause music, volume control was really great and used it a lot. Got to give it 3 stars however as its not lasting more than 2 years compared to other Sony models, at least 3-4 years should be standard. I only use it in the house for movies/videos etc for the phone or tablet. My previous ones Sony MDR 950BT were used outside all the time, used for gaming extensively before I got a gaming headset and literally only have wear & tear on the earcups whereas this snapping from being picked up by the charging cable being snagged by a pillow is pathetic.

Tengo los azules y son bonitos y cómodos. Me los pongo incluso con las gafas puestas y no aprietan en absoluto. También pueden regularse y aislándotelos muchísimo el ruido del exterior dependiendo del modo en el que lo tengas. El casco derecho tiene dos botones y es táctil, por lo que puedes pausar la música con un toque si es necesario e incluso atender llamadas. La batería, además, le dura muchísimo tiempo. Traen su propia bolsita para guardarlos, un cargador y un cable largo para conectar los cascos directamente al aparato que se esté utilizando. Así, si los cascos se quedan sin batería, seguirán funcionando. De lo único que hay que tener cuidado es de cómo plegarlos. No se pueden mover de cualquier manera y tienen pinta de ser delicados. Por lo demás, ¡totalmente recomendados!

Ses kalitesi çok iyi. Tizler ve vokaller mükemmel. Bas bir tık daha tok olabilirdi ama müthişe yakın. ANC (Aktif ses kesme) güzel, denediğim birçok kulaklıktan çok daha başarılı fakat sınıfının en üstü Sony WH 1000XM3 kadar iyi değil. Ortamınızdaki tüm seslerin geride kalıp, acaip dingin bir ortamda takılacağınızı düşünüyorsanız premium kulaklık seviyesinde en iyi olanları seçmeniz gerekir. Zira bu kulaklık arkadaki gürültü seslerini iptal ediyor fakat bağırışma, konuşma, tiz çıkan sesler (metal çarpışması sesi, kapı gıcırdaması vs.) gibi sesleri iptal etmeyecek, zaten bu gibi ortam seslerini farketmeniz için tasarlanmış. İndirilebilir APP sayesinde kendi ayarlarınızı ve cihazın kendine has otomatik ayar yapmasını sağlıyorsunuz ve rüya gibi çalışmaya başlıyor. Acaip uzun bir pil ömrü var, nezaman bitecek bunun pili ya? diye sorup duruyorsunuz. USB Type-C sayesinde de oldukça hızlı şarj oluyor. Kutusundan bez taşıma kılıfı da çıkıyor. Kulaklığın kötü özelliği yok ama iyileştirilebilir özellikleri bence şöyle: Kulaklığın padleri yaz sıcağında kulaklarınızı terletecek, APP ayarlaması yaptıktan sonra Adaptive Sound sizin durumunuzu algılayıp gürültü kesme miktarını çoğaltıp azaltıyor, bu sırada bir uyarı sesi çıkıyor ve müziğiniz kesiliyor, bu ses daha kısa ve öz olsa güzel olurdu, gereksiz uzun tutulmuş. Her kuruşun hakkını veren bir ürün. Çok pahalı premium kulaklık alamıyorsanız sakın bunu kaçırmayın. Görüntü ve ses elemanlarında Sony farkını bilen bilir. Yine yapmış adamlar...

I use the headset when I'm working for home or when I'm gaming, the battery lasts for days. I advise owners to tweak settings in the app to ensure connectivity and quality.
