The Smart Plug That's Actually Smart About Setup
I've used a lot of smart home gadgets, and often the "easy setup" promised on the box turns into a frustrating session of troubleshooting. The Kasa Smart Plug HS103P4, however, is the rare exception. It lives up to its name by being incredibly easy to get up and running, especially with the ecosystems that matter most to me: SmartThings and Alexa. The initial setup with the Kasa app itself was a breeze. I had all four plugs connected to my Wi-Fi in a matter of minutes. The app guides you through the process step-by-step, and it just worked flawlessly, with no unexpected connection drops or firmware issues. But the real magic happened when I linked it to my smart home hubs. For Alexa, it was as simple as enabling the Kasa skill and letting it discover the new devices. Within seconds, I was using voice commands to turn my lights and appliances on and off. The response time is instantaneous, and the reliability has been perfect—Alexa has never failed to control a Kasa plug. Integrating with SmartThings was equally painless. The connection process was straightforward, and the plugs appeared in my SmartThings app with all the functionality I needed. This has allowed me to incorporate them into more complex automations, like having a lamp turn on automatically when I open the door. In a market full of smart plugs that can be a headache to install, the Kasa HS103P4 stands out as a dependable, user-friendly choice. If you're looking for a plug that plays well with Alexa or SmartThings and won't leave you frustrated, this is the one to get.

These work great, are easy to setup, easy to program and perform perfectly all the time.
If you need a timer for whatever reason, these are the best. I have so many of these and I use them all over our home for turning lights on and off. Well of course that's what they're for, right? Ever set up a Christmas tree, get it plugged in and then when it was bedtime you struggled to reach the outlet to unplug those lights? I know I have. Sure, you can buy one of those step on switches that you plug your light strings into. But these make it so much easier to control and setup. There's a small learning curve to get it loaded onto your home internet, but once you've done one the rest are a breeze. Yup, your internet. No it's not going to slow it down and no it's not going to create issues with other wifi connected devices. In my home, I use not only these outlets, but I also use the wall switches, both single and three way switches. Also use the outlets that are meant for being outside in the weather from this same company. And they all work perfectly. Just to give you an idea I have at one time, mainly during the Holidays, I have at least 15 of these outlets around inside my home. Add into that 4 wall switches and another 4 outdoor weather resistant plugs. Take all those along with laptops, phones, speakers, tv's, tablets and I forget what else and I have zero issues with my 500GB internet speed. As for the plugs, they connect to your internet quickly, easily, install the app on your phone, laptop, tablet whatever to set them up and your good to go. Program them anyway you need, on at dusk, off at dawn, on or off at any time of day or night any number of days you want, and they work flawlessly. The outlets I have outside work no matter the weather, they're just as durable as you need. We have one that's located 60-70 feet outside, from our home and we can easily control it from inside our house. Did you leave the house and leave something plugged into a timer you didn't really want to have come on when you're not home? Just go into the app and turn it off, from wherever you are. Honestly I can't say enough good things about these plugs. The only scary part is when you have several of them scheduled to turn on at one certain time, like say dusk and all of sudden you're walking around and click, click, click, lights are coming on everywhere. Oh, and if your internet goes down, you won't have control of them through the app. But you can walk up to any plug, push the button on the side and it'll turn on or push the toggle on the light switch it'll still turn on. And they don't lose their programing, if the internet's not available, they will still turn on and off just as though they were connected to the internet. Then when your internet connection returns, they automatically reconnect, just like any other device you might have.

Great plugs with easy setup and hey, work with alexa
I live by these smartplugs. Easy set up and I use them with my alexa. I can turn things off and on without even having to get up from the couch.

Great product, with amazing support
UPDATE: EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! I had connection problems, and they emailed repeatedly and promptly, and helped me through the interface. All four are now installed, connected, and working perfectly. The only reasons it didn't get five starts from me: It sticks out very far from the wall, so you can't put furniture back against it. The app requires location services, not just your time zone, even if you are not using dusk to dawn feature. Several screens in the app, needed for set up, are in a tiny font, with no color contrast - very difficult to read.

Reliable Smart Plug That Just Works
This is one of those smart home devices that you set up once and forget about, in a good way. Setup through the Kasa app was quick and straightforward, and it connected to Wi-Fi without any issues. It integrated easily with Alexa, and voice control worked right away. Scheduling and timers are simple to set up and have been consistent. The plug itself is compact enough that it doesn’t completely block the second outlet, which is a nice design detail. It’s been reliable so far with no random disconnects or resets. The app is clean and easy to navigate, even if you’re new to smart home stuff. Honestly, there aren’t many downsides here. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do and does it well. Overall, if you’re looking for a dependable smart plug with solid app support and easy setup, this is a great choice.

Great for setting complex timing
I LOVE these things. So easy to set up and so helpful! I use these smart plug two places in my home: for my plant lights and for a lamp in my living room. I LOVE it for the plant light because I can just set it to turn on/off with the actual sunrise/sunset time (I have orchids that won't set flowers unless they get a natural "darker" period during winter) and it automatically updates. I haven't had to touch it once since I got it set up. Which is SO much better than the manual timer I was using. For the living room it's great because I can set it to automatically turn on on only the nights that I get home from work late. I don't have to walk into a dark apartment and I don't have to waste electricity having the light on when I'm not home all day. I also set it to always turn off at midnight, which gives me a great visual reminder that "Hey, it's time to go to bed!" I found them to be quite easy to set up and connect to my home Wifi network, and the app that they work with is quite intuitive and easy to use. You DO need a smartphone in order to use these plugs, so keep that in mind.

Simple setup, great device
Great addition to the Kasa universe that I run. Simple setup. Works well, just like I would expect. LED is bright so if used in a bedroom or other area where darkness is important, covering the LED may be necessary.

Smart plugs that help with turning on dumb stuff
This is my second set of smart plugs from Kasa. I use these to power on grow lights during the cooler season for my indoor starters. They work well with Alexa. My first set is used to power on lights and other appliances. They require a few steps to add to the app, but once you do a few the rest are a breeze. The app is not as responsive or correctly informative as I would like. For example, it tells me that the switch is off when it is on, but after I back out of it, it shows that it is on. I would by again since I am on the Kasa system and wouldn't want to use another app.

Very useful and reliable.
Great smart device that works well. I prefer a plug to a smart bulb. They are very reliable in regards to connectivity. Also simple to set up. You can control the devices connected to the smart plug while you're away from home at any time. With Alexa you can turn all your lights on or off at the same time with one phrase such as "Alexa goodnight" or "Alexa let there be light" You can customize the lights you want on or off with these functions. The plugs work well and do similar functions with google also - win win! Convenient and a bit of fun!

Never Loses Connection!
I've bought quite a few smart plugs over the past few years but this was my first purchase of the TP-Link branded. I've gotta say, they've far exceeded my expectations. With my other plugs it's always been a guessing game if they're going to work or not. I've also got a TP-Link router, and it reboots every night to keep my network efficient. A lot of the other plugs I've purchased have randomly failed to reconnect to it. I'd have to reach behind whatever obstacle led me to get the smart plug in the first place, unplug the smart plug, and plug it back in. Only then would the plug accept commands again. Now that I have these plugs from TP-Link? Absolute night and day! Honestly, I haven't had to reset these plugs once. Their setup was extremely easy, using the Kasa app and my smartphone, and ever since the day I set them up they've worked flawlessly. They work in sync with my Alexa account too, allowing me to program routines for the various devices I have plugged into them. If I want my bedroom accent light to turn on at 6AM for work, it can do that. If I want it to turn off the light at 7:30, when I should be out of the house and on my way to work, it can do that too. If I want it to turn on the living room light when my smart-camera picks up a person entering the home between 5 and 6PM, which is when I normally get home from work, it can be setup to do that too! I can also just call out to my Echo Dot and have it control them as well. "Hey Echo, turn on my living room light please". Within a second my Dot is replying, "Ok", and the light turns on. Absolutely awesome! The best part, I even created a routine called "Red Alert" should a home invader pop by. You want to see a home invader soil their pants? Have all the lights in your house, plugged into these smart-plugs, activate at the same time while your Echo Dot's start playing "Let the Bodies Hit the Floor"... lol Seriously though, these are the best smart-plugs I've owned. They've never lost connection, have never failed to execute a command, and are just generally an awesome product. The only two things I wish were different, which I'm not going to take off marks for, are the following; - I wish they were a little more compact, so they plug into power bars better. - I wish they didn't make a noticeable "click" when activating/deactivating (most smart plugs do).

Bueno, bonito y barato
