These bags are very durable and easy to use. I’ve never had any leaks, and they freeze flat, which saves a lot of space. Highly recommend for breastfeeding moms!

Better than Medela
After discovering that Madela bags can make your milk smell and taste rancid, I switched. But, I also did a little comparison work: Lansinoh bags can hold up to 6 ounces of breast milk. Medela bags can hold up to 5 ounces of breast milk. Lansinoh: On the simplest level, the Lansinoh bag is easier to open and pour milk into than the Medela bag. The reason I find it easier is because of the material the bag is made out of and the bag is more pliable. You open the bag by removing a small strip that is perforated on the top. There are two seals on these bags, which is a huge plus. It's a comfort in preventing leaks. The reason why Lansinoh wins the freezing process is because they lay flat very well. I've found that when laid flat, the bag freezes into a solid rectangle of milk that is consistent in thickness. It is also easy to "stack" once frozen which is very helpful for organizing. It's also important to squeeze all the air out of the bag which is much easier to do since there is not a large plastic section at the top, like in the Medela bags. Medela: The Medela bags have the ability to be attached directly to a pump. As a result, there is a large plastic area on the top of the bag that is perforated. This makes these bags a little bit more awkward to open. Lansinoh: Since these bags are fantastic for the freezing process, they are easier to thaw because they are consistently the same thickness. They look like a perfect rectangle of frozen milk. Or you can freeze the bag standing up. My husband loves how easy it is to thaw these out. Way easier than Medela. Medela: Bag leaks when you thaw it and sometimes they leak in the freezer (which really is a mess). This is because there is only one seal instead of the double seal on the Lansinoh bags.

Best breastmilk storage bags I’ve used
I’ve tried a few different breast milk storage bag brands, and in my experience, Lansinoh has been the best quality by far. They’re thick, durable and freeze really well. Across both of my sons, I’ve had only a few bags ever break — which is amazing compared to other brands I’ve tried. They freeze flat, which is great for storage capacity in the freezer and makes thawing much quicker. I also appreciate that they’re BPA-free and have the tear-away tops so you know the bag is completely sealed before and overall very easy to use. While I normally don’t pump directly into bags, these are designed for that option if you prefer — just keep in mind you may need an adapter if you’re not using a Lansinoh pump. I go through bags quickly, so I love that you can buy a 200-count box to cut down on constant reordering. The price is affordable too, especially for the quality. Highly recommend these for pumping mamas!

Milk freezer bag of choice
I recently switched from Medela milk storage bags to Lansinoh bags, based on online reviews and recommendations from friends. Many of the Medela reviews said the bags gave the milk a plastic smell, strong enough that some babies were even refusing the milk. My baby has generally taken the Medela milk, although there was one time when she was not happy with the milk (but her fussiness could also have been reflux or gas, it's hard to tell - I didn't think about it being the taste of the milk until I read these reviews and realized that was one of the few times I'd fed her frozen milk and also one of the few times she's been fussy while eating). However, this made me nervous about the quality of the frozen milk. The main complaint I saw with the Lansinoh bags was that they seemed flimsy and don't stand up. They are definitely not designed to stand up the way the Medela bags are, but this actually makes them MUCH easier to store in the freezer, which is a big part of the reason I will stick with them. My frozen milk stock has gotten big (I'm saving up for when I go back to work), and the Medela bags were falling all over the place because they won't stay stacked on top of each other. I can't freeze them standing up because I will run out of space very quickly that way, and they don't freeze flat lying down so that they slide all over each other when the stack gets big. I ended up having to put them into bigger bags in the freezer. The Lansinoh bags freeze flat and stack easily on top of each other, so I will be able to store more of them and without so much frustration. It doesn't bother me that these bags don't hook up to the pump like the Medela ones do. I pump into bottles and pour into bags anyway, to make sure I am getting an accurate read of the amount I'm storing, and to store the exact quantity I want. With either bag, I would recommend pumping into a bottle and pouring, because markings on a bag won't be fully accurate no matter how good the bag is, since the sides are flexible. I also like that the Lansinoh bag has space for the name, time, and amount on the bag in addition to the date. I was writing this information on the Medela bags but running out of space for it all. The designated space for this information on the Lansinoh bags is also good for new mothers, who may not know to include all this - it took me about 25 bags before I realized I should be writing the amount and time on the bags. The markings for amounts are not accurate on either bag, and once they freeze you can't read the markings anyway (the milk moves). The Lansinoh bags have a double-seal zipper, which helps prevent leaks and seals the milk better. Lastly, I feel much more confident that these bags are sanitized for my baby. The Medela bags don't say anything about the bags being pre-sanitized. They give directions on sanitizing the adaptors but not the bags, so I assume the bags are sanitized, but it doesn't specifically say it. The Lansinoh bags SAY they're sanitized, AND they have a tear-off seal at the top of each bag so you KNOW it's sanitized when you open it. For neurotic moms like me, that's what I need for peace of mind.

Much Better Than Medela Bags
I used the Medela bags when I first started pumping. So you know, I pumped for a year with my first child and have been pumping three months so far with my second so I have a lot of experience storing milk. Here are the issues I had with them: - Medela bags only hold 5 ounces and will not close properly if more is added; - Medela plastic is firmer which I didn't like; - Medela bags only have one seal and it's not dependable. The milk in some of the fuller bags (4-5 ounces) I put in the freezer expanded and the seal came apart and the milk spilled out!! I lost many bottles of milk using these bags; and, - Medela bags ounce measurement lines aren't accurate (at least from my experience. Why I love the Lanisoh bags: - Lanisoh holds 6 ounces or more of milk. It is riskier to put more milk in but I have put 7-8 ounces in many times and even frozen it and haven't had any issues. - Lanisoh is made of softer plastic which I love for two reasons. One, you can more easily get the air out of the bag and seal it. Two, when the milk chills the fat of the milk rises to the top and also tends to cling to the sides of the bag. What I do to mix the fat back in is take my finger nail on the OUTSIDE of the bag and gently scrape the fat into the rest of the milk The soft plastic makes this easy to do. - Lanisoh has two seals and they work! I have even held a full six ounce bag upside down for a couple seconds and it didn't leak at all. I have frozen 100+ of these bags and never lost any milk for any reason other than that it was too old : ) Only reason I gave these bags 4 instead of 5 stars is that I can't easily pump straight into the bag like you can with the Medela ones. However, I have taken the medela bag pump attachments and pushed the sides of the Lanisoh bags onto the attachments so they hung like the Medela bags. It does work but it is not as convienent and not a dependable way to pump. Instead, I usually pump into Medela bottles and pour the milk into the bags. Some reviewers have had issues with these bags which is unfortunate because I have used upwards of 200+ of these bags in the fridge, freezer, and travelling and have not had one singe issue.

Making my life easier
I recently purchased the Lansinoh Breastmilk Storage Bags, and I have to say, they have made my life a lot easier as a new mom! The 200 count value pack is really convenient, especially when you're pumping frequently. Each bag holds 6 ounces, which is a perfect size for feeding. What I appreciate the most is how strong and durable these bags are. I’ve had issues with leaks in the past from other brands, but I haven't encountered any problems with Lansinoh. The double-seal design really seems to do the trick. Plus, they freeze and thaw quickly without any issues, maintaining the quality of the milk. The markings on the bags are super helpful for keeping track of dates and amounts, making organizing my stash a breeze. Overall, these bags have been a reliable addition to my baby feeding routine, and I would definitely recommend them to fellow parents looking for good quality storage options.

Meilleur choix
