Has anyone used the 005 Micron pen for marking when quilting?

I have not. I buy a lot of these for my drawing students. It is a very fine marking device. If you are doing incredibly fine detail work, this pen is your friend. It's fragile and the nib will break off with a sneeze.

Are these markers solvent resistant ?

Yes! They are! Pigma archival quality inks are designed to resist many solvents. Google "colinpurrington" for "Maintaining a laboratory notebook". It does a fantastic job comparing the inks across many manufacturers.

How long do these last in storage? And if done so properly?

I have had some of mine I have not used for a year and they are fine. I always keep stock on hand.
