Christmas Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses: A feel good Christmas romance novel

This is one of the cutest Christmas stories I've ever read. It had so much heart & soul. This is a story is all about the importance of family and friends, keeping your promises, and following through on your dreams. I loved the characters. They were all so believable and so, so sweet. Little Max just stole my heart right from the very beginning. Then along comes little Thomas and my heart melted all over again. Nick was like the prince every little girl always dreams of, or at least he was after he finally woke up and figured out that the most important things in life is not working yourself to death, but sitting back and enjoying the love of family and friends. I loved, loved, loved Abbey. I loved the way she took care of her Gramps & Caroline. I also liked the way she protected her son Max. And her mother was just as sweet, too. The way she embraced the holiday season, brought back a lot of fond memories for me growing up in a big, but rather poor family. As far as I'm concerned, those days of making homemade ornaments and gifts were some of the best holidays I've ever experienced. This story was so well written that it made the story flow so effortlessly, and I loved the whole plot line, too. I would highly recommend this book to everyone!

This was a perfect read for the Christmas Season. Thanks to the author for keeping it a clean read. I can't wait to watch the movie based on it now! I really liked Senor Freckles. I have never read books by this author but I plan to now. I would definitely recommend this book.

This was a great Christmas story, romantic and clean and delightful. I absolutely loved it. This read was all about what Christmas and family mean! The characters: strong, realistic, likable. There were no grinch like characters, definitely no one that everyone loves to hate. Nick's biggest drawback was being such a successful businessman dedicated to his work, his company and making money, to the exclusion of a private and passionate life. Abbey was passionate about life. She loved her family more than anything and she cared about the people in her life. She was a hard worker, but not at the expense of her loved ones if she had any control over situations. The setting: Christmastime. Hale did an excellent job of describing the mansion and the grounds of the Sinclair property. Comparing Abbey's apartment and life to that of the Sinclairs provided a stark contrast. The plot: flowed smoothly from start to finish and made for an interesting journey as our main characters, Nick and Abbey, realized their mutual attraction and the importance of sharing their lives and dreams. The conflict: two totally different worlds and priorities collide. Can they somehow be turned into one life, redefined with compromise and reordered priorities? The resolution: Let's say, just what the reader wanted! One of the best Christmas romance reads ever!

I recently read this book and it was wonderful. I like the characters, the setting, and the story. Left you with a "warm feel good" feeling when it was finished. I saw that Hallmark made a movie so I rented it from our local library and watched it yesterday. I wanted to see what they did with the decorating ideas. Don't bother - same characters, sort of, but they changed the story and in doing so, they lost the "warm feel good" feeling. And, the movie was filmed in Georgia, not Virginia. I highly recommend the book but you can "take it or leave it" for watching the movie.

Christmas Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses by Jenny Hale -- This is such a delightful and very well written story that has you feeling good about the characters throughout the story. I do have to say that some parts are a tad unbelievable if you consider the processes needed to perform some of the tasks that Abbey must do. But, this is the never-never-land of fiction where anything is possible. Having said that, this is the best "feel good" story that I have read this Christmas season. Ms. Hale gives vivid descriptions of the setting and the characters. The story draws you in from the beginning and keeps you wanting to continue reading to find out more interesting tidbits. I highly recommend it! I hope to read more such stories from Ms. Hale. It is a clean read (no sex) but I would not describe it as Christian/Faith/Spiritual. It is just a happy story. (I am grateful for the Audible version also.) Happy reading!

This was a Cinderella-type Christmas read full of hope and romance. The setting (Richmond, Virginia) and a bit of it even in the Jefferson Hotel, was just lovely. Romance is not usually my thing, but life has been quite stressful lately. I needed something light and festive, even though I knew how it was all going to end after several pages. I later realized that there is a Hallmark movie based on this book. I think that I would have preferred the movie since the book dragged on for far too long. The author has lots of summer and Christmas reads with gorgeous covers, and I was about to add those books to my wish list. I don’t think that I’ll be reading them since they look like they’re too formulaic and predictable for me. Then again, who knows? If life gets stressful once again, as it often does, I may need to resort to more of her books.

I have to say I have been enjoying reading some Christmas novels this year and this one does not disappoint. A beautifully written novel that makes you feel that you are watching it instead of reading it! The highest compliment I can pay!

I just finished dabbing my eyes so I could complete the last few pages of Christmas Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses. It gets difficult to read through a misty lens. Don't misunderstand. Not sad tears. They were the kind of tears that spring in a surprising way when you listen to a touching piece of music or watch one of those heartwarming commercials on tv. I'm not usually one to pick up a "romance" novel, but at the suggestion of a friend I gave it a try. (So thank you MB for the recommendation.) To my surprise the author engaged me immediately when the main character had a chance to follow her dream and decorate a lovely, but stark mansion. A blank slate. The characters were all endearing and their inner conflicts rang true. Great story. Yes, light reading, but with a quality that touches the reader. The five stars are based on comparing it to similar books from similar genres. And based on the enjoyment I had reading it.

Sooo lovely...a feel good heartfelt tale of family and relationships ..simple..but super nice..perfect for a holiday read..my mind stays in the story even after finishing it..

I finished this book with a happy smile on my face. Jenny's books have this effect on me as I adore her writing. I did not want this book to end. Again this beautifully written story strongly emphasises the importance of family, love, hope and faith. Here is something I read in this book and thought well said! "We have to have faith in things we can't see sometimes, and if we believe, we may discover goodness beyond our dreams. " I loved these words and felt the need to mention them. This book is by far one of my favourites I can easily say, especially where cosy, fuzzy festive reads are concerned. How can you put down a book which is a sheer joy to read with engaging and believable characters with whom you fall in love with. Giving you a magical dose of fairytale romance, gorgeous descriptive festive scenes... very enthralling. I was engrossed from beginning to end, so for that Jenny, thank you.

Abby works as a home nurse for an elderly lady, when working her mom takes care of her son max and the grandfather. one day the old lady, abby s taking care of says that her grandson needs someone to decorate his house. abby s dream was always working as an interior designer. abby goes to the interview, gets the job, starts working and the two of them get to know each other. nick s a workaholic and nothing but work is important in his life, abby being herself thinks that sometimes you need to go out and deal with life as not everything is possible to get fixed by money. thew start to get closer and feelings appear. both main characters were lovely charming and the other persons around them were just as lovely. i really loved this booked and couldn t put it away.

I love the books from this author, I think I have read most of them if you like romantic feel good stories, this is for you
