Natural Healing Stones Rare Black Shiva Lingam Approx 4 inch

This item was bought and about a week later got scratched revealing a metal glint. I placed a very powerful magnet on it and it stuck to the item, revealing a ferrous element which appears to be covered with black paint and wax to make the item look real.Based on the preliminary assessment I think these are metal forms which were painted black and coated with wax which is the usual practice with Shiva Lingams. The ones I have definitely do not have magnetic properties. The vendor may want to investigate the items further. Shiva Lingams are typically stone based even black ones and are not attracted to a powerful magnet. Yes, the stones from the Narmada River in India are a fusion of a unique formation caused by a meteoric strike long ago and the river action over time has created these unique stones which have unique properties. Being very heavy hints to a meteoric origin. Being drawn to a magnet is not a property found with these stones. Furthermore, I had noticed when I first got it that one side had a dent which would be more indicative of a metal versus a stone. A stone would develop a crack. Thus, this item passing for a black Shiva Lingam is suspicious and needs to be looked into.
