Renogy Adjustable Solar Panel Tilt Mount Brackets RV Roof Flat Surface Aluminum Mounting Set

I used these brackets to mount my Renogy panels on the roof of my van. I replaced one piece with gas struts to allow the panels to raise themselves when I undo the bolt. Only had to make 1 cut on each bracket for the gas struts to fit. I used the replaced piece to extend the length of the bracket to offer more support as the brackets don’t quite run the length of the 2 panels I mounted together but they are sturdy enough anyway.

Did what it’s supposed to do

I used it for mounting a 100 watt panel on a fence. I would recommend it.

Great good quality

I've knocked off a star because this mount is too expensive for what it is. Adjusting the tilting brackets is a slow, 2-person job. Using quick release cotter pins on bolts would be massively superior. I've taken off another star because the brackets have very sharp edges and holes from machining. I had to sand each piece down well before working with it. If not, it would have inevitably cut me. Overall, given that it's 6 short pieces of aluminium (that you could scavenge from an old shelf) and some knobs, washers, nuts, and bolts, I'm not impressed at all. If I didn't need this immediately, it would have been returned.

The brackets look good quality.Some odd bits missing from the parts bag.
