DREAM PAIRS Womens Closed Toe Hiking Summer Outdoor Sport Athletic Sandals

I was looking for a sandal type shoe that I could kick a soccer ball with and these fit the bill. I was also looking for a barefoot-type soul and these were close enough to that. I usually wear $aguaros or zero soles, so if those brands work for you for fit, these might work for you for fit. I tried three other brands before I tried this one and this was the most comfortable. Since it's so hot, I'm glad to find a pair of shoes I can kick a soccer ball with this summer. I have only worn them a few times so I can't speak about long-term quality, but I feel like they will hold up.

I love this shoe brand- this is the 4th pair of sandals etc I’ve ordered since last summer and they haven’t disappointed me yet! No “ break in period needed- they are so comfortable right out of the box! More room for my wider feet and I really love the heel strap making them so much easier to put on/ take off in the event my feet swell. They come in several colors and I prefer to wear these every day over the national brand and they are so much more reasonable in price. I can’t speak to their water resistance but my feet can breathe and move freely in this style! Win win!

I’m partial to my keens but after replacing them for the bottoms separating after years of use I wanted a less expensive option. What I like about these- the zip cord to tighten them for water use (have not used in water yet), the back has a Velcro option to really customize the fit on your heel and they seem to have some cushion and are comfortable during my try on. The gray/pink combo is cute too although the look of the shoes are more functional than fashionable (also a wide sole bottom). My fifth toe seems to be visible between the straps but doesn’t stick out which would drive me crazy and I’d probably return, so far it just seems like it wiggles near the straps which is fine. They do seem cheaper made than the keens (rightfully so) and wondering if the sole will separate from the shoe bottom, but I don’t have my kayak anymore so these shoes are beach/vacation/water shoes only. Pretty sure any shoe will get destroyed with repeatedly getting wet and also in saltwater. Even if they last a couple seasons I think they are worth it. I’m at the point of my life where long walks on a rocky hot beach or stepping on stuff in the water is no longer exciting. Looking forward to trying them soon they feel like they will stay on in the ocean.

I tried on 6 pairs of similar closed toe sandals, looking for a comfortable walking/easy hiking sandal, with the extra protection of a closed toe. I got size 7 in each of the following: Keen Whisper, Keen Newport H2, Teva Walhalla, Teva Omnium, Dannto, and this DreamPair. I really expected to like the more expensive shoes, but I chose the Dream Pair for the following reasons: Easy to put on and take off with the back velcro strap. Nice and roomy for my toes. Back strap does not catch/irritate my ankle bones. If I had any concerns it was with the inside sole which felt a little rough on my soft feet after a winter in socks. I have since worn them several times, and one full day, and am thrilled to say that the sole did not irritate at all. Here are my findings on the other closed toe sandals: Keen Whisper: Difficult to put on with fixed back strap, needing 'finger work'. The back strap touched my outside ankle bone (end of the fibula bone) but was otherwise comfortable. The stippled inside of the sole did not irritate my foot. This shoe is more 'open' and therefore probably cooler than the other shoes I tried. I think this pair was the most attractive of the 6 pairs. Keen Newport H2: I had high hopes for this pair of shoes since it seems to be the standard to which all others are compared. Once again the negative for me was the difficulty in putting them on. They are a much snugger fit than the others, possibly better if climbing over rocks, but I preferred the roomier feel of the DreamPairs. The back strap, like the Whisper, touched my outside ankle bone. The arch support was very obvious. I also found the Newports 'clunky', that is, after putting down my heel, the front of the shoe would 'slap' down - noisy. The Teva Walhallas were easier than the Keens and the Teva Omnium to put on, but didn't have the ease of the velcro strap on the Dream Pairs. Very squeaky walking across Pergo and tile floors, but maybe that's indicative of good grip? They did not irritate my ankle bones. The inside sole was smooth except for a TEVA logo under the heel. This irritated my left foot, leaving an imprint of the logo, but strangely enough did not worry my right foot. The Teva Omnium had a very nice adjustable strap over the top of the foot, and a high instep. I found the inside sole rough on my foot. Although easier to get on than the Keens, it still required 'the finger'! The Dannto had a velcro back strap making it easy to put on and take off, but I found the insole/instep a little high for me. Otherwise it was comfortable, did not touch the ankle bones. Hope this helps you find a comfortable pair of closed toe sandals. I returned all five of the other pairs after my in house trial.

Was looking for a comfortable pair of hiking sandals for short walks around the neighborhood or around a nearby park/lake. First I bought a pair of Keen's as they seem to be the gold standard for this type of shoe. After many attempts to adjust the bungee cords on the Keens for a better fit, they were still extremely stiff (made to last forever under extreme walking and weather conditions, I guess...) and my ankles ached after a short 1 mile walk. I continued my search and came across these Dream Pairs Outdoors Sandals. They were pretty - in a homely kind of way - and had great reviews. After today's arrival, I immediately took them out of the box and put them on. I made no adjustments and walked out the front door for a 1.5 mile walk. There was no stress anywhere and my feet were happy! To be honest, I'm not sure trying to tighten or loosen the bungee cord would really matter, as the loops they are thread through are sewn to the body of the shoe. The elastic of the body of the shoe is kinda fixed. When ordering I looked at the Size Chart and ordered a 9.5 based on their recommendation. I haven't worn a size 9.5 shoe in decades, I'm a true 10 or 10.5 (when available). But I trusted the chart and went for it. My foot is exactly 10.5 inches from toe to heel which in this particular shoe is a 9.5. Measure YOUR foot and order accordingly! The arch support is minimal, but I would live my life never wearing shoes if I could, so lacking arch support really doesn't bother me. The material the shoe is constructed with is fairly soft and did not rub or irritate my feet anywhere! Technically these are fisherman's sandals so they are waterproof. I will be hiking in the Seattle area next month so I won't have to worry about walking through small streams and getting my shoes wet! The foot bed extends noticeably beyond the shoe straps all around the shoe. Interesting design; it gives the shoe a larger footprint and better footing on uneven rocky surfaces. The sole is thick and sturdy, and comfortable against a bare foot on the inside. Fortunately for me, my pinky toes don't pop out the sides, they are supported and protected. Probably the only thing I don't care for is the velcro on the heel strap fits perfectly against itself with no over hang, so it takes an extra moment to separate the two halves for removal. Not a deal breaker by any means, especially for the reasonable price tag. I can buy 3 pairs of these in different colors for the price of one pair of Keens!! Walk Happy and Stay Healthy!!

"Thankyou for the 'Dream Pairs' Coral & Gray Beach Sandal!" I 'Love' them very much! (If you are a larger woman, 'Please read last Paragragh'!) __I walk long distances 'No Car' for Decades which has caused a 'Carbuncle' which is the foot bone above the toes to move left on my right foot! A knob juts out though a 2nd toe crosses over & hugs the big toe! My adult Niece made fun of me! I also have fallen on raised sidewalks do to heavy shoes! __Anyhow, these Sandals are light weight! I do feel the slight arch of the thick sole! When I walk it's like a 'Firm Soft Cushion'! Like 'Walking on Air' The Upper Sandal Fabric Feels 'Soft on Bare Skin' as I walk! I feel it move as I walk! Feels great! __I bought a Size 10! Others have said Size down though for me the added room is perfect for my Carbuncle! It doesn't show at all like it does on top of my Leather Keds! __I plan to wear these only on the Beach!!! I live in the Pacific NW. __I wouldn't recommend them for any Trek in the Woods or Extreme Rocky Beaches! Wear Socks in these woods! Fleas & Mosquitos in 'Gifford Pinchot' are Bad on Hot days! My cousin lived there! __Your thoughts will be on the Velcro strap & not the beauty around you! Tge Velcro Strap is great! Soft though firm not stiff! My anles are Bone no fat! The strap will hold your foot in place! __Many of our Beaches have Boulders to climb over & No Sand! The Rubber Sole can take it though if you want to keep them Nice Be good to them! You never know what the landscape is truly like or if you have to run! __I had bought 'Keens' 3 years ago though returned them because the sole foot pad was molded to the foot & uncomfortable for me to walk in! __I am built strong like my father though if you are a larger woman like my 'Best Friend', the Sole appears thick in actuality 1/4th-inch under the front part of shoe & 1/2-inch under the heel though there are 2 parts to the sole, the dark part as mentioned! __The light part on top of the sole is like a strong memory cushion! I wear an 8.5 and do not have a wide foot. I bought these to use on our boat, kayak and paddleboard, and walking on the docks at the marina. I wanted something easy on/off, wouldn't slip on wet docks and boats, protected my toes, and yes, was reasonably cute. The Pros: - my toes are protected - they are easy on/off - the mint color is pretty - the 8.5 fit the length of my foot quite well - the bungee cincher worked to make it less wide The Cons: - the bottom has no traction or "grip" (which wasn't clear from the pictures). I felt like I was slipping on the hardwood just in my kitchen, so I can't imagine a wet boat bottom! My flip flops have better grip than these. - I needed to cinch these pretty tight to fit my feet. The footbed is very wide. - the actual sandal is ridiculously wide. From edge to edge, my foot looks like I'm wearing a pontoon boat. There is so much extra footbed around the edges (which wasn't clear from the pictures). If I stand with my feet together, there is a crazy gap between my feet. I think they would be hard to walk and especially hike in. [I just re-watched the video, and at 2 seconds in, it does show how much extra footbed is around the side edges of the sandal.] These are a NO for me, and I'm returning them.

These are awesome and so comfortable. They allow my feet to breath just like flip flops but enclose my toes which makes them versatile for me. Not only do they support my ankle but also supports my arch. If you have diabetic neuropathy like me these are awesome for that also because you can shape the top with a release at the top and the strap in the back. I completely hate socks during the summer time and this is so nice. These fit me just right the size was perfect. I haven't tried them in the water yet I only purchase sandals once every 2 years so I'm going to put them to the test. So Far I Love them they are comfortable to me .
