Good for resistance training but not as effective for optimal form.
Due to current social distancing, my family and I can no longer use the 50m pools at swim clubs/schools/colleges.This tether/bungee cord is exactly what we needed for training in our 10m backyard pool.+Simple to use: wrap the strap around any stationary object around the pool; the higher up the better to lessen leg interference with elastic/bungee cord.+I used a 2ft. axle/towing strap with D-rings and secured the webbing loop around the U-shaped metal base of our diving board.+Then secure the adjustable, quick-release waist belt (the smallest setting is around 32": my waist size) with padded/neoprene strap and get ready to swim!+The 2m elastic/bungee cord provides good stationary resistance training (catch, pull, kick) without having to turn around at each end of the pool.+Able to swim all styles: Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly, and Freestyle.-However, depending on the height of stationary object where webbing loop/cord is secured (higher the better), AND the position of the waist belt (lower the better), it's harder to get an optimal, streamlined, horizontal body position, i.e., legs will sink a bit.-Without the horizontal gliding of untethered swimming, it's also harder for me to get into an optimal swim rhythm.-Waist belt may not fit waists smaller than 32". Could tie up sections of waist strap to shorten it.Overall: a good, cost-effective, supplemental swim training gear for backyard sized pools. Parental supervision strongly recommended when used by younger family members.

Awesome
I love this thing! It has become my best friend this summer. I started swimming the first week in June for exercise. I have a back injury and it's the only way I can exercise. Our pool is small, so I decided to try this. I tie it to the diving board, belt it just under my chest and then go to it. You swim in place for as long as you want or until you wear yourself out. 😁 I've progressed from 20 min to over an hour each day, have lost 15 lbs and am so much stronger! All in just over 2 months. I can't recommend this enough.

YMMV depending on your size, strength and swimming level
I will give a disclaimer to this review; I was a competitive swimmer for 16 years.I have not swam in a few years in any way but now have a back yard pool and wanted to get into swimming again for exercise but the pool is a little too short to swim laps. I went with this swim tether because it looked like the strap would be comfortable and I liked that it is 2 meters. The strap is nice and comfortable with a neoprene sleeve that wraps around the rough nylon sleeve.Where my low rating comes in is that I got about 5 minutes of use before the resistance band broke. I really don't want to give it such a low rating but anyone else looking at this who is a powerful swimmer will likely have the same results. I had it attached to my diving board stand and got some freestyle and backstroke in before trying some butterfly, After 3 butterfly stokes it let loose and that was the end of resistance training in the pool. The end that connects to the metal loop is only secured by some rubber which is not strong enough to hold the weight of a full grown man. For this I have to rate this product poorly.

Great product!
This swim tether is the best. I bought it to use in my pool as our gym was mandated to close during the “shelter in place” requirement due to the corona virus pandemic. It works great! I would highly recommend this especially since the price is relatively inexpensive!

Great way to train with an above ground pool
Works great. Trick is to mount the anchor up higher if you can. Very happy with it.

Good Belt
The swim training belt works as advertised and provides a great workout in a small pool. The padded belt is very comfortable.
