Do they have to be ironed after washing?

They have a lot of sizing in them when you get them. So the first time I washed them - they came out stiff and wrinkled. I have washed them several times now and love them. I take them out of the dryer, smooth and fold them. I do not iron them! Very happy with them.

Do these feel like the Willaims Sonoma hotel napkins? Or do they have a slick feel, rather then absobent cotten feel?

They do not have a slick feeling. They do feel like Hotel napkins although not as thick. They are cotton from India. I purchased two sets (24) napkins and only two of them dried uneven. Because they are cotton they do need to be ironed but that does not bother me. I purchased them to embroider on. Personally I like them.

Do these need ironing or can they be used out of the dryer

We use them straight out of the dryer. But they are our everyday napkins, so we don't mind a few wrinkles. I would say they are not particularly wrinkly when they come out of the wash. They are really great napkins!
