2 Pack HD VES TV Screen Repair Ribbon Cable Replacement for Dodge Chrysler Town Country 2013-2018

We have a 2016 Chrysler Town and Country and use the DVD Screen in the back for the kids on long trips. It went out on us and after some searching found this ribbon cable could be the culprit. Turns out it was, and this one works perfectly as a replacement. Only thing is it was a pain to get the roof console down and the screen apart to get it replaced, but that's not the fault of the cable!

Great product, plug and play

This cable looks, feels and works like an OEM ribbon cable. The installation is not easy. Meaning that, to get to the place where you can swap out the cable, one spends hours in disassembly and assembly work. Some of the screws on the DVD/BluRay are hidden under paper labels/stickers. It is quite a job to get the ribbon cable replaced. I suspect this cable comes from the same factory as the OEM one, and is not-OEM in name only so to speak.

Received a AWM 20706 105C 60V VW-1 and used it to replace a Sumitomo-C AMW 20861 105C 60V VW-1 -F-. Worked perfectly to replace the cable in the front screen of a dvd/bluray combo VES system.Also bought this trim removal set https://www.amazon.com/dp/B081GFP4SK. Don't need all of this but the clip removal pliers will save you some headache when detaching the assembly from the roof which is connected by 4 fasteners. The pliers made it zero effort at all instead of just pulling on the assembly until it comes loose.

This item has way more “pins” than the regular 34 that the original came with. I replaced the ribbon on my 2018 Dodge Journey and I found that it wasn’t quite an exact fit. But I made it work by sliding the robin far to one side on both the head unit down monitor unit. It works and for now I am happy.

2015 Dodge Grand Caravan R/T with 1 TV. Make sure you pop off the back cover of your TV to see how many pins there are in the ribbon cable. Its a small number right on the circuit board like the product image shows. With some patience, and mechanical ability, this should take you about an hour. Saved us from an expensive dealership bill for sure!

Why did I not do this sooner!! For 2 years we have been driving around with no DVD players. It took me about 2 hours (I am 16 weeks pregnant) to take apart and put back together. Definitely recommend. Watch YouTube videos and you can do it.

Installed these on my 2014 Chrysler Town and Country with two DVD players in it. They worked great.
