Very insightful. The first chapter introduced me to the meaning of prevenient grace. Previously I thought that my seeking God was the impetus of God bringing me to the point of salvation. Actually he was drawing me to him before I began to even think about seeking Him. Amazing Grace!!

Solid information

At last a man of God gave me the true meaning of what it means to be a Christian!!! This is a short but powerful book. In my opinion, this is a Spirit inspired book. Tozer speaks boldly from his heart and his message is truthful. God used this great book to confirm to me a lot of notions that were revolving around my heart for years. Thank you God, and thank you Mr Tozer, you truly were a God led man.

This book is a wonderful reference tool to help those seeking discipleship as well as those who want to help disciple others after salvation.

AW Tozer is a theologian and a brilliant student of the Bible. If you want to read a book with spiritual depth and application, you will get a lot out of this book. I recommend it highly and have given it as a gift as well.

Best description of what many would often explain as "Lordship Salvation". Written before MacArthur ever coined the term but it is woven throughout the entire book... and much of what I would say is woven throughout the Bible. Tozer has a way of speaking that is both cheeky and cutting. Deep examination that is wrought from sometimes simple wit.

I find Tozer the reading material we need now more than ever. He's spot on with what too many Christian Churches fear teaching.. that there's more to being a Christian, than God loving us. We are expected to die with Christ to be born anew in Him.
