King KME Marching Mellophone Mouthpiece

I was a section lead in the BD alto line for several years, and discussed this piece over a year ago with Wayne Downey. In the past, and as a trumpet player, I have always looked for a piece that approximated the depth and tonality of a french horn embouchure, with the complement of a trumpet rim mouthpiece for comfort. For myself, this previously meant using a deep Warburton mouthpiece cup such as a 3MD, or 3D (with an approximate adjustable shank). For my trumpet, I will continue to use my Warburton, but I have enjoyed playing on this King mouthpiece - and I believe it is a preferred option for that instrument. It has a nice, but not overly dramatic V-cut, and is excellent for mellophone players.

This is a fantastic mouthpiece! This helps a lot on flexibility. The only thing wrong is that it's a king KME and not a System Blue SBME but it's pretty much the same. Really great mouthpiece overall

this is an absolute must is what he tells me he hits notes hes never hit before with different mouthpieces and to him it was one of the best birthday presents ever. If your kids or your self is serious about music these mouth pieces are a must
