Marine Grade Solar Deck Light by Lake Lite

I really like these lights. I use 1 light on the 2 outside corners of our boat dock to alert night boaters of the dock. Even after only less than 1 full day of charge the included batteries lasted through the night. The 4 LEDs are bright and boaters will easily see the lights, but they're just pinpoints so they shouldn't be annoying to boaters. The construction is very solid and I expect the lights to last a long time. The electronics are sealed. The light has a very low profile, which is nice, but also can be a problem. If you intend to put these behind corner rub rails/guards/bumpers, the rub rail may be higher than the LEDs and will block the lights. It would be nice if there was optional or included aluminum spacer to raise the light by an inch or so. I positioned the lights just to the side of the corner rub rails. Also, I really like that the light uses 2-AA standard rechargeable batteries and can be easily replaced. This was a requirement for me and it's hard to find dock lights with replaceable batteries. Lastly, the listing doesn't mention that mounting screws are not included.

I ordered 2, 1 is great, the other defective. It only lights up for about 2 minutes then goes dark. If you cycle bright light on it, it will light up again, for about 2 minutes. The other one is fine and works great. Waiting to see how Lake Lite handles my return request. I was skeptical about made in china electronics sold here on amazon. Will revisit review later...

Bought 4 of these initially for 4 corners of a 200 ft floating dock on a river. After a year 1 died and would not work so I replaced it. The following year, another of the initial 4 lights died. They work great and can be seen for 1+ mile. Never had an issue with them recharging until it stopped working. They were on a very low floating dock so could have been submerged at times which probably didn't do any favors. The waterproofing could be improved to include a better seal for the batteries and electronics. Right now, you just put a small 3"x2" silicone sheet over the battery compartment then put the aluminum battery cover on with 4 screws. Water also penetrated into the clear light housings on the sides.

Bought 4 and 2 didn't work right out of package. Purchased in Feb for dock use. When installed in summer realized quality of product. It's a shame because the two that worked are great but I guess you take a chance buying them.

I don't like buying multiple items in case they are substandard quality and don't live up to their claims. I needed 10 solar lights for my dock and saw these on Amazon with very good reviews. I ordered one to test it out for a couple of months. You can tell the quality of the light when you take it out of the package. It worked better than any solar light I have ever used. It was just as bright at the end of the night as it was in the beginning. All the lights I have used in the past were much dimmer at the end of the night. It also survived a heavy rainy season including hail storms and some flooding. Needless to say I just ordered the rest of the lights for my dock. I also have a long driveway (120 ft.) that I have ordered these lights for. I will use them to line my driveway. I tested one that I mounted on my driveway by driving over it 20 times. The light held up with no damage. If you need outside lighting for any reason I would highly recommend these lights.

Ditto the other reviews.The light is durable, very bright, and lasts the night. Even as the days are getting very short.It's been running for a few months and still going strong. I was thinking about putting these every other piling on my 200' pier, but I probably won't do that. The reasons: a combination of maintenance cost and brightness.Changing the battery requires unscrewing from deck, then unscrewing the back. Not sure how long the battery will last. A year? Still, I couldn't imagine having to do this for 14 of these.These are so bright, I may only need four. Win win.

The run time was significantly lacking, some only lasting a couple hours

I started with two of these for my dock to see if I like them. I now have 10 and next spring (depending upon how they winter) I will buy 10 more. These are excellent dock lights. I replaced some other solar lights I was using and these are far superior. They are much, much brighter, easy to install, nice low profile (so they are out of the way) and they have a superior appearance on my dock. If these last anywhere near what the mfgr says I will be very happy.
