The winder functions properly, but now the motor, which was very quiet for a couple months, makes a grinding noise while turning. Seller number does not work. No customer service for products. Advertised 7 days/24 hrs day, however number is non-functioning. You may consider another option and seller.

One can spend a long time researching "Which watchwinder is the best?", and still end up with inconclusive answers. If we're going purely by quality, WOLF winders are probably the best. However, unless you are as rich as Mr. Bezos himself, you'd be hard pressed to spend $500+ on one of them... This JQueen watchwinder is one of the top contenders for "Best bang for your buck" category, and I thought so too initially when I received it. The looks were good, the winder was quiet and it felt sturdy. Then, the devil in the details started showing. I examined the case to find quite visible defects in key spots. The knob for controlling the spin rate/direction has a scratch running along it, ruining the finish. It appears as though during assembly, the box containing the knobs were thrown around with minimal care. The edges along the inside are poorly sealed together, with a unfinished edges popping out all along the line. The glue that holds the hinge is leaking out, indicating a lack of care during the assembly process. So why 4 stars? Well, other than it serving it's purpose, it's outside appearance is quite something. The build quality is also quite nice so I give that a 5. All in all, I think it is a decent product. It works well for it's purpose. However, do I think it is worth $130? No, I don't think so. Paying >$100 for a generic brand and getting something that has cosmetic blemishes seems unfair. You might say that I'm nitpicky, but it'd be nice to have the same quality to details that I have in my watches.

The main purpose I bought it is less noise level and it is more than estimated. Much quieter than my previous one. Also the color and texture of wooden box is much nicer than photos.

See photo. I heard a rattling sound that suddenly developed inside one of the 2 drums and noticed that drum became a lot looser. I was able to easily lift that drum off and well it turns out you're not supposed to do that. There's a screw that's supposed to hold it on, and that screw had broken itself in half. So just because it says the motors are japanese doesn't mean the rest of the product is. I can't believe the asking price for this is so high yet they use such cheap flimsy components that the device will destroy itself. I really think I should get a refund for this, but I'm outside the 30 day window.

So far so good. Have had the winder for a couple weeks now. It is very quiet, and seems well made and sturdy. I am hoping this one lasts a long time

The pieces that you are supposed to mount the watch on are too small. I have average sized wrists and yet my watches flopped loosely on these pieces so much so that the watches fell off of the mechanism when it turned. I would have to readjust the band size of every watch every time I put them on the machine to use this. That means it was unusable. Returned.

This item looks really good, well built quality, but it makes so much noise I can hear it from different room.
