Manhattan Toy Mon Ami Minty 9" Unicorn Stuffed Animal

Minty seemed a bit small to me but not to the recipient...an adorable little 4 1/2 year old girl who will become a big sister in November. I gave him to her at the gender reveal party and Minty helped soften the news that the baby will be a brother (instead of the sister she had hoped). Minty even made it into the informal family photo session! He did get a small tear in one leg, so her grandma had to take him home for an overnight repair (small stitches). Everyone loved the unique soft green color!

Very good quality, heavy feet so it stands well. It was a little smaller than I expected but better quality than I expected.

I think Minty is pretty darn cute. Something about Minty reminds me of the nursery rhyme that starts off, “Sugar and spice and everything nice...” Girls and unicorns somehow seem to go together like sugar and spice and when I saw Minty, it was a no brainer for me to get this sweet unicorn for my daughter who is due in a September.Just looking at Minty makes me smile. Perhaps it’s the sea green color of Minty which reminds me of cotton candy that does it. I also love how soft Minty is. My LO will be sharing a room with my husband and me for the first year of her life and I currently have Minty standing on the nightstand beside the glider where I will be cuddling my sweet newborn. ☺️ We have a very large master bedroom and I’m trying to incorporate some decor into the room that will not turn it into a total nursery but will add some whimsy at the same time. And Minty provides a nice touch!I do think Manhattan Toy’s other unicorn, Petals, would be more suited to a newborn/infant and I will be giving Petals a home here as well. I don’t know - to me, Minty seems slightly more “grown up” than the pink, nubby-textured Petals (perhaps it’s the color?) and I can see my daughter playing with Minty when she’s a slightly older tot than as a newborn. It’s just my own personal opinion, though. 😉In any case, Minty makes a fine addition to our MBR/daughter’s nursery. I recommend Minty highly for every little girl. And grown up girls, too, who still believe in the magic of unicorns. 😉

OVERALLThis plush and sweet Mon Ami Minty Unicorn is adorable. It is just the right size for any little child to carry around and love. The stitching is strong and durable and the material is soft, soft, soft!!! The rainbow mane and tail make this toy a fantastic fantasy animal for baby to play with.EXTRA THINGS I LOVEWhat I love most is that there are heavy seeds stuffed into the bottom of the unicorn's feet, which help it to stand up when placed on a flat surface. This makes the unicorn more of an active animal than just a stuffed toy animal. If you splay the feet out to the sides on a flat surface it also makes it a super cute posture for baby too.PRICING & VALUEAt the time of my review, the price seems about standard for this toy. ($18.99) . It is made well and will last quite some time for a baby to play with. My great niece just wouldn't put it down after I gave it to her. She loves it and it brings her Joy!!

This little unicorn has a solid little stance and a resilient little horn that tuck up in a little arm pit just right. It's adorable and really well made with cute little details like the heart on the flank and glittery horn. Both girls love him so he sees a lot of hugs and rough handling. No complaints.

Smaller than expected, for the price I didn't think it was good value.
