The right tool makes the right job. These knives are solidly constructed. The handles are comfortable and well suited in shape for precise carving. Most of all, the blades are superior; hard, sharp and durable. I love my new knives.

Being fairly new to carving, I didn’t know what to get - the set of six for $45, and or one for $30. I’m going to make this short. Buy the one for $30. It’s a razor that moonlights as a whittling knife. Not that there’s anything wrong with six for $45, they’re fine. But when you’re cutting a fine spot with expensive wood, you want to cut where you want it - not half an inch lower because you put too much pressure on the blade, and now you have miniature firewood that will keep you warm at your psychiatrists office, while you recount how after 3 hours of carving, you managed to ruin your piece in 3/10ths of a second.So, if you thrive on frustration, and love a challenge, get the six for $45 knives. Also, remember those Vikings season tickets are also on sale. Otherwise, save your money and buy a really good Flexcut knife that helps you cut, without the aggravation. I have six now, and they are worth every penny. And don’t let my simple carving throw you off - I’m just too lazy to get one of my fancier pieces for the picture.
