No, it does not require assembly. However, it will need to be "fluffed out" once it is removed from the shipping package. They are very full and pretty as a standalone piece.

What do you do when they get dusty? How do you clean them?

i don't know the answer,i only had them in vase once-did not get dusty but i think when they do,i will simply do what i do with all my silk flowers- sit in my favorite chair,have something good on tv.a soft cloth,sit and simply wipe each branch as you can figure out,i hate,hate to dust,so do so while my mind is engaged in other pursuits--hope this helps
