I bought one of these for my husbands workout area so he could mount in the wall by the window to pull in cool air. He enjoys being able to positions air movement to different places. Then, out ceiling fan stopped working at our cabin. We almost replaced it when I realized this would work much better. Unless you have a really expensive ceiling fan they just don’t put out much air (outside anyway) and we have mosquitoes. We bought another of these fans (no need for installation expense, easy to do ourselves) , strategically placed it on the wall where it blows right where we sit and it can be adjusted if we desire. Puts out much stronger flow than ceiling fan, less mosquitoes and cooler people, overall less cost! That’s a Win, win, win, win !!!

Good fan for the animals! Really well made and weather proof!

The fan is easy to mount, built very well. I tested it in my garage first. The flow pattern is very direct. From 10 feet away the air feels about 3 feet wide. From 15 feet it feels about a 4 foot air flow pattern. My hanging flag was moving in the garage about 28 feet away on all 3 settings. Directions says it has overload protection shut off. I would assume that means if the motor gets too hot it will shut off. Mine is going in the attic before the air vent. I will direct it to the hot air dead spot I have there. I have an exhaust gable fan and 2 turbines on my roof. The fan seems to be pretty well balanced with 3 settings. The motor casing looks well built. I will update review again months later. 8/20 update. Fan still works good. It is in the Attic and is pretty quiet. The motor does get a bit hot. I guess this is normal but I use it at 2 hour intervals to be fire safe. The balance is still good with no wobble.

Used this on my dock outside. It moves a lot of air but is a little loud. Guess that's to be expected but why i gave it 4 stars. Works great and still looks good after a whole season.

I ordered this fan for my garage to replace a seventy year old “hand me down” fan that the internal wiring was disintegrating from age. For fear of my old fan now being a fire hazard, I reluctantly decided to replace with a new one, but felt there would be no chance of getting a new fan that would be built and perform as well as the old one. I WAS WRONG! This fan performs every bit a good as my old fan! Same air volume, same noise level, and I was even able to mount from the ceiling to both tilt and swivel just like my old fan. Using only one bolt in the top center hole of the mounting bracket is what allows this, though I may have to beef up the top of the bracket eventually, as the bracket is somewhat thin and flexes a bit more than I’d like. Time will tell. Still, I’m extremely happy with this fan so far! Update: After 4 1/4 years of nearly everyday use during the hot summer months, I’m happy to report the fan is still working flawlessly!

I purchased two of this exact fan seven years ago. Love them so much that I purchased another for my screened/covered porch (out of the elements). This fan is top quality and a great value for the money. It only went up $10 in cost from seven years ago. The high quality is just as good today. Extremely easy to install. I opted for only one screw as I wanted to tilt and rotate the fan. I simply added a flat head washer on each side of the mounting bracket. The fan is extremely stable and the noise level is not overwhelming even on high. I highly recommend this fan.

Used 3 of these fans to cool horses in there stalls. They all worked very well with 3 speeds we get lots of air movement although we use only the low speed which is all that is required. good product so far no complaints. Would buy again for sure.

Perfect barn fan. Very powerful, keeps my horses cool in summer on low setting. Detaches easily from mount for cleaning and winter storage.

Simple to install and hope it doesn’t cost a lot to run 24/7. Motor is quiet and has great air l flow.
