They work but i wish someone made these to REALLY fit a 4x4 wood post
Work well. Have guide "shaft" from top/center down to the bottom so hammering them in makes it less likely to bow the top and crack. Overall, good for what it needed to do (make a fence look a *little* better). Just wish someone make some that 100% fit tightly on a 4x4.

Fits perfect on 4x4 pressure treated posts.
Easy to install. I used screws instead if nails.

Pleased as pudding.
I used these to cover the ends of my garden and orchard fence. None of them broke while installing and I eventually committed to using a standard nail #8 to install. I had wanted screws but could not find the right ones for the job. I like that there is a plastic guide on the inside to make sure the nail goes in straight and to prevent from over applying the caps and causing them to flex. They have a snug fit but enough room to account for fence post imperfections. I wish they came in 4x6 to go on my wooden rail fence. I am confident this will slow the end rot of my fence.

Cheap & easy way to protect your fence posts
I installed 100+ feet of fencing last summer, replacing a previous fence where the posts had all rotted out from the top. Looking to prevent that from happening again, I found these. I installed them using galvanized roofing nails (2") and they are staying on great, in high winds, rain, snow and sun (about 2 months) in northern Indiana. Besides cost and coverage I selected them because they can be painted and I plan to spray a high quality paint on the fence to make it last. Having the option to accent the color with these is nice. Seems like it would be easy to spray paint them and put them back on.We'll see how they last long term through a full summer season next year

Really nice all around
These caps are really nice, came well packaged, and are made in the US. I was expecting some kind of issue, but really a great find here for the price. I don't think the default pictures show it, but there's a support arm for the nail/screw that extends down to the post. I used 10-gauge nails to attach the caps to the post, which was a little tight; I thought I might break a cap or two but they held. It might be worth using a thinner nail.

For older posts, use round head screws
Liked the simplicity of these caps. Our posts are 13 years old and have some minor splitting, so we prefer to use screws in this case. New posts would be fine with nails. This is a simple fix to preserve the posts we have without spending the fortune that wood or copper would be. Very satisfied for this product and its value.
