Great concept, but fails miserably. Can hold dry food fine and you can dine on soup or cereal from within the household in your LUB, but don’t plan on transporting liquids unless you like ruining everything in your backpack including your laptop, your lunch, your day, your life!!! Okay maybe not life, but......the problem is that the perforated holes and pop through thingies that close it up, love to go back to their original placement along a rigid-walled, open container. So basically it will pull itself out of being sealed, pop out of the holes, and although the metal folding closure is designed to ideally still keep a seal on the folded bowl - it does not. While it may remain locked in a fold, there’s plenty of open space on each end to go right ahead and let the flood gates of its contents flow completely out.With this unwanted and unwelcome discovery I continued to use it only at home. It’s already sprung a leak due to a tiny hole so now it’s basically useless for me. I could put dry stuff in it, but I’m over it. I’ll see about donating to a neighbor with a dog or cat - maybe they can use it as a dry food feeding and travel bowl for their furry family. I don’t know. “E” for effort all around? Oh-h.

I originally got this foldable bowl to store in the car so I could use it for leftovers from restaurants, thus avoiding the styrofoam takeout containers. I stick it in my purse before we enter the restaurant and it works really well for that purpose. However, I have now taken to using it as a Buddha bowl and pretty much eat all my food out of it. Because it is flexible, it is very easy to rinse out and have it ready for the next meal. It also comes in different colors so other family members can have a dedicated Buddha bowl too. According to instructions, this bowl can go in the oven, microwave or freezer. I have only used it for refrigeration and microwave use and it works great for that purpose. One plus is the outside stays relatively cool even with hot food in it. This bowl is made of a thick silicon so it has some rigidity but it is pliable enough that you can roll the sides down to make a sturdy bowl. It comes with a heavy duty stainless steel tool that fits over the silicon layers and locks the bowl closed to keep in liquids. I only use the clasp for soup. The closure buttons on the bag work pretty well without the clasp for everything else. The bowl is a bit on the pricey side, but considering the high quality construction of the container and clasp, I expect it to last much longer than other containers.

Best part is 100% plastic free and it stored well in the deep freeze with homemade stew. Removed pouch and stood in cool water for 30 minutes then popped it in preheated gas oven (325*) for 25 mins. Perfection! Also used to microwave leftover spaghetti w/no problem. Hand washed with Dawn dishwashing liquid leaving no stains. Have not tried the dishwasher because I have never owned one.The days of Squares, rectangles, and circles with premade meals and soups in freezer bags are over!Oh, used a standard paint stick for depth analysis!

This is great for keeping ice cubes in the freezer! I bought one of those countertop ice makers, and was looking for a way to hold the ice in the freezer. Because of the material of this dish, you're able to strike it against the counter/table to break up any ice that has clumped together. Great product!

I am really impressed with this product! so much so, I immediately bought a second one as soon as I used the first one!

Great for soups or sauces

I absolutely love using my Luumi! I was a little apprehensive about the fact that it’s convertible from a bag to a bowl, but it’s perfect! The sides of the bag part are a little difficult to get used to folding and manipulating, but once you do it a few times, it works well. I put it in the oven, refrigerator, and the microwave, and dishwasher, and it did well in them all. It doesn’t leak and is eco friendly! I can’t wait to order more Luumi products!

Highly recommend this product! I was pleasantly surprised at how well made this product is. I have used it in the freezer and the microwave and put it in the dishwasher and was never disappointed. A little pricey initially compared to others but I expect it to outlast the cheaper ones. To sum it up... well made product that’s better for the environment, what more can you ask for.
