***UPDATE - 1 year in on this product and it still works the same as new. I have been pleased with it's overall performance. Definetely worth the 99 bucks. The only negative I have seen is the paint fades, its an off black/gray now. Of course that is expected since it sits in the sunlight all day. Very easy to repaint so not an issue.----------------------------------------------I had an old mercury vapor yard lamp that I wanted to replace but kept being drawn to solar options since the location has sun all day. Why pay for electricity if there is a good solar option? I did a ton of research, considered converting my current lamp to solar with panels, etc., but ended up finding this product. I like the look and it had decent reviews, so I figured for $99 why not give it a shot. The replacement of the old unit was a breeze, all I had to do was shut off the power and properly cap the wires and this lamp fit perfectly on the 3" pole. So far its performance has been great. It's automatic turning on at dusk, and stays bright through most of the night. It dims in brightness pre-dawn as it looses energy. The light will never be as bright as a powerful LED or other powered options but honestly I didn't want a blinding light anyway. It has plenty of power to light up our driveway and front of the house. It also has an off switch which is perfect for my family if we want to look at stars with the kids. The real measure on solar lights is longevity and how long this lasts, and only time will tell there. You can easily replace the batteries the solar panels charge, so if they die that is no problem. If this thing lasts 5+ years then it is a bargain!

I’m truly enjoying this solar lamp post light. I chose the one with “arms” as I can hang bird feeders on each side. It’s been an instant hit with our feathered friends - we’ve had so many beautiful bird visitors who enjoy eating at the feeders, and also perching on the bar above. The light functions well at night if there has been a day of full sun. It will last several hours if that is the case - starting bright and getting dimmer through the night. On partially sunny to cloudy days, the light still comes on, but it dims much more quickly. It is well built and strong. Most of the solar lights I have are simply functional and there exclusively to provide light at night. This one is exceptional, because it looks beautiful in the day and the night, and is providing a wonderful hang out for our lovely neighborhood birds. Another feature that I like is that the rechargeable batteries are replaceable.

I was looking for a solar option for our lamp post since our contractor cut the power to it during a remodel - and we didn't want to spend the time & money to re-run electrical. I looked at a lot of different options, but this one seemed to have the best reviews. And the price point was decent as well. It was super easy to install and the first night the light was nice and bright. I'm looking forward to seeing how it performs in the coming weeks & months. But so far, I'm happy!

Arrived in perfect condition and well protected during shipment. Very easy to put together. I simply attached the bottom pole to the planter, placed it on a solid base and used a level before filling half way with stones. Then covered it with four layers of weed preventer fabric before adding soil and flowers. The one tip I have is that the heads of the little screws (used to secure the poles and lantern at the joints), strip easily so be careful tightening them. They also do not screw in flush and I had to unscrew the lantern slightly to get it to line up with the base. But they did include a extra full set of these screws. If they used an Allen Wrench application it would have been so much easier and would make it harder for anyone to steal. It stands straight and solid. The lantern is much nicer then I expected and looks amazing. I knew it was brighter then other solar lamps but was still not convinced it could be as bright as a wired lamp. Well I was wrong, it is bright and lights up my entire front walk way! The one thing I wish I did in retrospect was to coat the base nuts and bolts with a waterproof coating. They are going to be exposed to constant moisture from rain and watering the flowers in the planter. Overall extremely pleased with this purchase.

Over the past two years, this lamp post has been through seasons of remarkably cold and hot weather, rain, snow, ice, and wind. It still comes on faithfully at dusk and turns off at sunrise. The light has just now started dimming, so it's time to change the rechargeable batteries; I think that's a reasonable life-span for AA batteries considering the elements they've endured. I filled the pot nearly to the top with pea gravel and the lamp post hasn't budged, even in 60+ mph winds. I placed edging pavers around the base to keep the weed-wacker from damaging the pot. I attached a nice house number sign to the post with zip ties which gives it an added appeal. I'm extremely pleased with this product. It is well constructed, durable, and looks nice. I would recommend to anyone who wants something like this.

Very Good Product lighting is great and last long.We bought 3 pieces. Don't get me wrong, product itself is greatonly few disappointment which are are the two following point but can be fixed. Actually, the manufacturer should look at the pictures in order to understand the issues and improve their products.Issue #1:Four opening under the light, that let all insects attracted by light at night getting inside and making mess specially spiders with their net.I am actually working on that issue in order to fix that, cutting 4 thin pieces of acrylic and sticking them in order to block this openings and as well not affecting the reflection of the mirrors at the bottom of the light.Manufacturer Improvement #1Should be improved using thin clear acrylic or mosquito net.Issue #2: The mounting base is too thin and fragile, when mounting on a post. I was obliged to fully fill the base with quick cement, in order reinforce it, because when you screw the base on the surface the four holes in the base are getting crushed, you cannot really make a secure installation. SEE PICTURES ATTACHED FOR THOSE WHO WOULD LIKE TO USE THE WAY I USE AND WHICH WAS SUCCESSFUL.Manufacturer Improvement #2Should make the base thicker or reinforced the four corners, where it get bolted on the surfaces.Generally, the product is good and I will possibly purchase another two pieces, now that I know what to do in order to fix those issues. We loved it and it give a nice looking to the flower square.

This lamppost is way better than expected. Well packaged when it arrived easy to put together and brighter than I hoped. Love it time will tell how long it lasts

Bought 2 previously. But ran out of stock .So I paid twice as much from the states amazon saying that best on the market by far

used this light to rebuild one that was cyclone damaged.Heaps better than the original,and looks A1 on the old post!
