High Priestess Atelier Rorona: The Alchemist of Arland Rorona (1/8 scale PVC figure) [JAPAN] by Megahouse

As a collector with dozens of PVC statues, I have to say Rorona is in the upper levels of quality, though still a bit under the phenomenal quality of manufacturer Alter (oh boy, do I love my KOSMOS Ver.4 statue). It may be one of the few times in which the figure looks better in person than in the display pictures.The sculpt is nearly perfect. You can appreciate all the intricacies of the frills and folds of her clothing, those tassel things on her belt-pouch, her flowing hair, and more. The only very minor gripe I have is that the middle and ring finger on the hand Rorona has outstretched are one piece, as opposed to two separate fingers that are touching.The paint does not disappoint. It pretty much looks like it does in the pictures, and she even has painted fingernails. There's slightly enhanced shading -some parts are intentionally painted darker or lighter- to allow the statue to look even better in lighting. This does not apply to her skin which will look consistently smooth and milky white, with natural shading coming from the curves of her body~~The textures are also appropriate; i.e. her skin feels soft (not like I was feeling her up... just checking quality), the clothes are lightly rough, the glass feels solid (still plastic, though), and so on. On a similar note, the glass and metal of her alchemy staff, necklace and potions appear shiny, which further adds to perceived quality.Rorona's hat and shawl are removable. If you want to remove the shawl in order to admire the shape of her neck and shoulders, as well as the back of her vest, you simply have to undergo the fairly ghastly process of removing her head. Also, the base stand for the figure is actually more of a pink-ish raised, translucent platform than the flat clear one in the preview pictures. It looks better because it is also adorned with some sort of floral design.Her staff takes a bit of care to assemble in her hand; it's a bit flimsy-feeling and I was afraid to break it. One quaint thing about this figure is that the potions on her belt are independent pieces, meaning they aren't glued to the belt and you can move them around a bit. That's a bit of extra detail I don't often see in statues. It's lovely. Rorona's necklace, however, is firmly attached to her skin.Rorona's face looks very nice, with curves in all the right places (just like the rest of her). For example, the eyes have a lot of apparent depth due to being painted in appropriately deep recesses. This is opposed to being painted on a "flatter" face that makes eyes look more like decals, which is more common even in pricey figures. Also uncommon of Rorona is that her eyes have been given a glossy finish to give them that sparkle.Rorona additionally has softly arched cheeks, a cute pointy little noise, as well as an endearing and innocent-looking smile; one can see detail in even the lips, which are very subtly painted....and her panties are white.

Superbe figurine de Rorona, très bien réalisée, belle finition, très bonne qualité des matériaux, pas trop fragile même s'il est plus judicieux de la manipuler avec un minimum de précaution, bref un très produit par rapport à son prix.

（ファット・カンパニーの トトリのアトリエ -アーランドの錬金術士2- トトリ (1/8スケール PVC塗装済み完成品) と同時購入しました）　すらりとした足…　届いた時の第一印象でした。フィギュア初心者の私にとって、各パーツの隙間に挟まれた保護用のビニールをどうやってとるんだろう？って思って主人に聞いたら、「腰か首が抜けないか？」と言うので、手渡してみるとスポンって首がもげて「キャ〜！」って一瞬パニクってしまいました（恥）　衣服の意匠が素晴らしくて、ゲームのロロナは帽子やケープのピンク色が鮮やかなんですが、フィギュアでは抑え気味なのかな？　むしろシックな衣装に白い肩掛けレースなどの処理が格調高さを感じます。かすかな風に揺らめくケープにベルトから垂れた紐。杖を掲げ微笑みながら手を差し伸べるポージング。実に颯爽としていて、この人になら仕事を任せても大丈夫…みたいな安心感を漂わせてるわ。　こうした格調高さとは対照的に、裾からのぞくふくよかな太腿。開いた胸元の谷間など、露出した素肌が鮮烈に目に飛び込んでくるような色合い。参考写真では判りにくいコントラストだと思うわ。黒っぽいシックな衣装だからこそ、白く眩しい素肌が強調されて見えるみたいな…。　胸が大きめなんですが、横から見ると腰回りもとても細いので、スラリとしてる割に胸やお尻がより強調されていてそれが他のレビューにもあるちょっと大人な（実際は十分大人の体型だと思う）ロロナを特徴付けているんだと思います。可愛らしさ、颯爽さ、格調高さ、セクシーさが良い対比、バランスによって形作られた、奇跡のロロナだと思います。あどけない、ゲームのロロナが好きな私でも十二分に満足ですし、ロロナを知らない方にもお勧めしたいです。　あ、そうそう。透明な台座が付いてきます。台座が無くても絶妙なバランスで立ちましたが、台座に飾らないとね。敢えて語りませんが、まぁ、飾って目に見えないところの造形まで凝ってるのには正直驚きましたよ、ほんとに（笑）それにトトリと一緒に飾ってるのですが、このクオリティーでトトリの約半分のお値段というのも？ｗとにかく造形、色彩、私の手にしたロロナは素晴らしい出来でしたよ。　大切にしますね。 トトリのアトリエ -アーランドの錬金術士2- トトリ (1/8スケール PVC塗装済み完成品)

岸田メル先生の絵柄がすごく好きなんですが、このフィギュアは目のプリントが微妙だと思います古臭いというかなんというか昨今のフィギュアにはあまり見られない違和感を覚えましたメル先生のタッチとも似てるようで違うし、フィギュア単体として評価しても正直これはちょっと・・って感じで未だに慣れません全体の造形、塗装は完璧はほぼ完璧です。ただ正面からだと首猫背っぽい感じなので横向きに飾ってます
