Medium PoochPant Male Wrap

perfect for large senior dog
My dog is quite large and round in the middle. He has accidents at night and it was becoming stressful to have to clean his bedding every day. We tried the disposable male wraps but they were too slim and we had to use 2 to reach all the way around him. This poochpad wrap was the widest we could find and thankfully it fits! It’s also much wider that the disposable ones, helping to better cover his pee area. We do put a disposable one inside of it to help with absorbency. Definitely worth the money. I’m going to have to get a couple more so that keeping up with washing is easier.

Works well
I have an 80lb male german shepherd. He has an issue with holding his bladder for long periods of time. I found myself having to leave him alone for 7 hours at a time for a while (due to a work issue) and sometimes he would be fine, and sometimes I would find puddles. And with an 80lb dog they aren't small puddles. I bought this in hopes that it would help our problem. It works well. I do however, recommend putting something inside for additional absorption if you have a larger dog. It does work well with out it too... but I think it was more comfortable for him to wear when I had the additional padding in there. I tried the diaper liners, which are only maxi pads really. They do serve the purpose, but they don't stay in the diaper where you put them. I ended up using an orange ShamWow. I folded it up and placed it in the diaper and it not only could absorb more if it needed to, but often only the cloth would be wet and the diaper would be dry. So less washings for the diaper (I have several shamwows). My work schedule has changed (again) and we no longer are needing to use the PoochPants but I will not hesitate to use it if I need to again.

Poochpads are great
Good quality material and workmanship. I have 2 of these and also the Vet male wraps that look like a feminine product (!) These poochpad wraps are quite stiff and you have to get it on pretty tight. Also, need to wash them in the washer by themselves with the velcro area closed or they will pick up lint on the velcro. The velcro area is quite large and I wish it was smaller. I have washed them about 30 times and they have some tiny holes from wear from being washed already. I use the Vet male wraps more than these since the wraps fit tighter. These Poochpad wraps are handy for the car. I wish they made some that are colorful and softer. Both types of wraps seem to be a little uncomfortable for my little Chihuahua. He is 10 yrs old and he will still lift his leg, even with either of these wraps on, but rarely does anything gets wet, so that is the most important thing. I have used the poochpads that lay on the floor for him for all his life. They are great and wash up nice. They are in his bed and food area and he has to have one that is arranged with the upper end vertical clipped on a metal chair rung, so he aims at that. One of those last about a year. My daughter's female Chihuahua potties on her poochpad and never misses.

Regained my sanity!!
My dog is potty trained, he is also wee wee pad trained so he has the option to go on the the pad if we do not get home on time for his walk. We trained him the day we brought him home when he was 9 weeks old. He is now turning 4 and for some reason started to pee by the entrance of the kitchen (on carpet) which is just a few steps from his wee wee tray and pad. His wee wee pad is always clean (also pooch pads brand) but he still goes on the carpet, the same spot every time. For the past few months, i have been steam cleaning my carpet like crazy and even wound up putting pooch pads by the entrance of the kitchen. I bought the tinkle belt which is also a type of male wrap but it did not work for us. Despite adding a pad to it, it left me with a big mess.. a trail of pee on carpet and a pee soaked dog. I went ahead and purchased the pooch pad in a size small, my dog's waist is 14 inches but the sizing is way off and it would not fit (it was too small). I ordered the medium size and it now fits well. It is a little bulky but it does hold a lot of pee and is leak proof. It is also a little stiff so make sure not to put on your dog too tight so they do not get bruises from the elastic. I am very happy with the purchase, I have reclaimed my apartment (from the dog) and regained my sanity.Update:This male wrap works really well with incontinence pads. I place a pad inside & then just throw it away once it's soiled. This way, I do not have to wash the pads as often (only when it's warranted) and my dog does not soak in pee the whole day.

Bought this as a housebreaking aid for adult male
I never thought I'd ever be able to let my male in the house because of his excessive marking behavior, but this PoochPad works perfectly. I only wish I had purchased one sooner. Large velcro area so it stays in place and it does not leak. Air dries overnight while he sleeps. Medium fits my 24lb Sheltie perfectly - snug and tight, but not binding or pinching as far as I can tell - he doesn't seem to even notice it unless he outright pees in it and in that case, well, he *should* feel uncomfortable since that is the point of using this for housetraining. I've tried other bands, but they would soak through too easily - these have not soaked through and have not needed any additional lining. Great product that is allowing me to finally work on housetraining issues without ruining my carpet or furniture.

Wider and better protection. Highly recommend
These are best pads on the market. Our puppy mill rescue-elder boy wears a diaper 24/7 and these are our go-to. They are wider than any others so there is less leakage. Because we do machine wash and they get a lot of wear, we’ve bought about 4-5 of these over the past 3 years. We’ve bought others that are cuter (designs on fabric) but these are our best for everyday protection.

These work great
I love these. I tried all kinds for my boy and these work best for male dogs. They do not leak through.
