Sturdy, heavy glass, easy to hold, hard to tip over
Went shopping for new glasses after an accident in the sink broke one my old set. That was an elegant but frail glass. This time, I wanted something that was less prone to breakage.These glasses have an artistic square bottom and swirl to them. Some have said they are hard to hold, but I had no issue. Interestingly, due to the swirl direction, it is just a tad easier to hold in the right hand vs the left.The rim of the glass is thicker than most, closer to a beer mug vs a typical drinking glass. That's what I was looking for. Something stronger than usual, but with a little flair. If that is what you seek. This is what you will find.Top quality glassware, highly recommended.

Like a square knob, the base is easy to grip even if you have a little arthritis.

Over designed, unnecessarily hard to use.
The convoluted base makes it difficult to pick up especially with arthritis. Taper is wider at the top which makes spilling easier. Much heavier than necessary.
