Fixwell Stainless Steel Knife Set, 12-Piece

My mother in law recommended this product. She has been using it since she was 20. She is 52 now and in past 22 years she had to buy these only 2 or 3 times. Well she didn't get the 12 pc set, but a 3 or 4 knives set. She said that these knives are great and whenever she had to order a new set was only because she probably lost them or gave it away to someone or simply got bored using the same for year after year, and not because they wear out. I got these and gave it to bunch of my friends and kept 2 for myself. Ever since I am using them they have been working great. I put it in dishwasher and its sharpness is still like brand new. i am using it everyday from past 5 months and I am surprised to get that brand new cut every time. I just didn't like the colors, the off white one looks nice but the red, yellow and green doesn't have the trendy appeal. My mom in law told me that she has seen the same color 20 years ago, I guess they fixwell never tried to alter their product may be because of its great demand.

I am a serious cook and by extension a knife person. There is nothing that irks me more when I'm in a frenzy of prepping and cooking than a dull knife. I bought them on a lark - read a review from a person who uses them in a subway and he raved about them. Well, he wasn't exaggerating. These little knives are amazingly sharp. WARNING: If you have a tendency to cut yourself (I have two friends who regularly do) do NOT buy these knives. But for those of us who love sharp knives for fast work, I have never worked with a knife that flies through a giant onion like this one did with hardly any effort. Perhaps because they're so light, or that they're disposable, nevertheless, they are nothing less than amazing. Now I have to check and see what else they make because I think I'll be doing some replacing and maybe some selling of knives.

Be wary - note the spacing difference on the packaging- not like the genuine 3 sets of 4 on the Fixwell site. Mine arrived from India and were clearly knockoffs. When I ordered these, they were NOT prime eligible and were NOT fulfilled by Amazon. In the pics you can clearly see the handles are different, the blades are different and NOT ground and the serrations are vastly different. The one with the more noticeable finger notching is YEARS old and originally from Subway. It is still the best knife I have for every day use including slicing bread, veggies, meats, frozen packaging, etc. it is just the bomb. I ordered these expecting the same and got knockoffs. VERY disappointed. I would NOT recommend ordering unless it is fulfilled by Amazon and Prime eligible - these state they are NOW but they were NOT when I ordered them as you can see Gandhi - Appliances and they arrived from India. I would NOT order anything that showed this layout of the knives, I have included the image from the Fixwell site. Good luck.

I bought these based on users' reviews. I waited patiently for them to arrive from India, which took about five weeks.I was a bit disappointed when I opened the package. The plastic (handle) part of the knife was a bit rough and not polished. It's as if their molding process was sub par. I had to file the edges down a bit else the knife was uncomfortable to hold.But I was nicely surprised when I use it to peel a peach, then some steaks for dinner. The knife was very sharp, which made cutting easy and safe.While I think the plastic molding needs more work from the factory, this knife is very good indeed. At less than a dollar per knife, it's hard to complaint - even if they turn out to not last very long.

Seriously, i bought a set of these years ago and sill use them to this day. I only bought more because after using one daily it got dull. I would say that's the only down side to these. Being serrated you can't really self sharpen. But seriously for the price who cares? Oh, and when i say i bought a set years ago and one of them got dull? Well i only bought a new set because out of the original set of twelve i only kept 4 and gave the other 8 away to friends. That's right 4 knives, probably 8 years of daily use. Seriously, probably ont of the food industry's best kept secrets. Buy them, try them pass it on.

this knives I use for preparing fronts very good

I used these knives - or their clones - years ago in Israel. Then found them in a store in LA (across the country from my neck of the woods) and had my sister-in-law ship me renewals - because they do grow dull after a while. Then I tried Amazon using the name on the knives, and have never lacked for them.They're the only knives I use for cutting fruits and vegetables. My son bought me a really fancy, expensive knife, which, in his words, cuts and doesn't saw produce. I use it for other things, but still use these knives for a salad or fruit for a cake or pie.

These used to be amazing. I either got knock offs or the quality has dropped significantly. A brand new knife is duller than a year old original. The handle is smaller and worse slippery plastic. Overall, these new knives are trash.Original review:I used to work at subway and occasionally would get to bring home old knives. Even the old ones still had lots of life left in them. Well my mom loved them, but I stopped working at subway and eventually they dulled beyond use. So this christmas, almost everybody got a set of these, including me. I love these knives and so does my mom and two sisters.
