Amazing strings
I had a lot of issues with short scale strings with my Schecter Banshee but these strings fit perfectly, tuned perfectly, long enough and my bass sounds amazing with these.

Awesome sound a feel, perfect design for a short scale Mustang with a string through the body design
So after 30 years of playing the bass I’ve finally tried my first set of LaBella strings. I am so glad I did. I came across this set looking for flat wound strings to put on my Fender Mustang strung through the body. This is an awesome set. They took the time to make these the perfect length and solved problems other manufacturers weren’t interested in addressing. (Both sets of TI Jazz flats and Fender flats went in the garbage because the E string broke and separated where the string comes through the body at the bridge). LaBella designed these specifically for the TB Mustang and extended the ball end wrap to protect the string at the bridge (see photo). The sound after a few days is incredible, and it didn’t take long for these to settle in and stay in tune. Of all the flat wound string I’ve used: TI Jazz, Chromes, EB Slinky and Fender... these have quickly become my personal favorite. Great fundamental sound with just enough bite to keep you present in the mix. I’ve played along with countless recordings and are convinced that they must use LaBella’s because I seem to have their tone without even trying. I won’t be using any other brand and wish I had tried these a long time ago. Just note that these are designed for Mustang’s strung through the body and will not work if yours is strung through the bridge... you will need a different length set.

Smoothest flats ever
Tried D’Addario medium scale Chromes on my JMJ mustang and wanted to try these. The La Bella’s were so smooth, they made the Chromes feel like sand paper. (Exaggerating) But REALLY silky smooth.

Perfect Fit, Perfect Sound
Got these for my new Squier Mustang Bass (one of the real ones with through-body strings, not those cheap "fake Mustangs" with P-J pickups Fender is selling now.)Couldn't be happier. Tone and Sustain are all excellent. Just absolutely beautiful sound. And they "fit" perfectly, I.e. even on the low E string, the threaded part of the string that's supposed to go around the tuning post, actually goes around the tuning post, and the flatwound portion of the string stops (or ends) JUST SHORT of the tuning post, which means I could really get 3+ winding of the threaded portion of string wound around the tuning post, even on the low E string!!!! So many Mustangs and other short scale basses get strung up wrong with the fat "wound" portion of the string riding up on the tuning post... Not with these babies!!!They were slightly fatter than my stock Squier Mustang was expecting -- they sort of rode on top of the nut on the E and A strings until I popped them down into the nut. Thought I might have to widen my nut slots slightly, but they seem to tune up just fine and stay in tune well, so I think I'm fine. Will never buy anything but these!!! They sound awesome and fit perfectly!!!

Amazing sounding, perfectly balanced strings
These are perfect for my Mustang, new they're brighter than I was expecting, but still give be a great flat would sound. I prefer the bubbliness of my Chrome flats, but hopefully once these break in they'll round out a bit. But they're amazing strings, really present a ton of authority. And the tension isn't that bad for my Mustang, the 1954's I had on my P Bass were far to high tension, I have no idea how people use those.

Transformed the Squier Rascal bass!
The Mustang short scale LaBella’s are AMAZING.They made a “very cool” Squier Rascal bass turn into an absolute Motown beast- and the strings are so much more comfortable/smooth compared to round wound. An absolute must if you like that old warm thump.

Great Flat Wounds for 50 years
Bought these for my Granddaughter who started taking bass lessons from me. I long ago switched to Rotosound Round Wounds but remembered how much I liked the solid tone, deep bass of these smooth strings (Easy on a beginner's fingers). They really improved the sound of the Fender Squire Bronco bass I gave her and they fit the nut without filing.

These are the strings
Just enough brightness at full tone and very smooth when rolled off, I've tried 3 different brands of flats on my mustang and these are my go to.
