These rods work well and they're as easy to use as putting up a magnet
These rods work well and they're as easy to use as putting up a magnet! We live in a NYC apartment with metal door frames in the living room and kitchen but no doors. We added thin, sheer curtain panels to create separation (containing AC) but keeping the light shining through. These rods do the trick. I wouldn't recommend them for anything heavier than a sheer curtain because, although the magnets on the ends are strong, the plastic rod is not as sturdy and they will bend with the weight. For what we're using them, they're doing the job.

Finally, a magnetic curtain rod that works.
I have a steel security door in the kitchen. I have tried three magnetic curtain rods before the Magne Miracle rod. They all kept falling off the door and breaking after the fall. They would also slide and tilt. I tried all sorts of fixes but decided to try another brand. Magne Miracle Curtain rod: โฆShortest rod distance from outside of both magnets is 24-3/4 inches. โฆFully extended, leaving one inch of rod overlapping in the middle, measuring from outside of both magnets is 47 inches. โฆRod: The rod is simple, smaller rod inserts into larger rod. The rod is small enough to accommodate small pockets. No tools needed. Body is clear plastic. โฆMagnets: The magnets are inserted into the plastic and housed in a silver/chrome appearing metal housing which is visible from the front through the clear plastic. On the back, the black magnets are visible. The magnets are by far the strongest I have found on any magnetic curtain rod. They are so strong, I had to redo/edit the video five times because the magnets kept sticking to the measuring tape and metal structure of the table. I am so pleased with this curtain rod. Simple, nice looking and it works great. The magnets are very strong. I can tug sharply several times on the curtains and the rod doesn't budge. The clear plastic picks up the white color of the door and takes on a slight white appearance. Considering the price and functionality, and compared to similar priced rods, the Magne Miracle rod earns 5 stars easily. I would not hesitate to purchase another. Finally, one that works. Hope the video gives you a better idea of what it looks like. โบ10/20/13 Update I could not be more pleased with this rod. I only use the magnets, not the adhesive. It stays in place SUPER well. I have an odd curtain that I really like but it gets in the way when you reach for the door knob. As a result, it gets yanked a lot and considerable force gets applied. The rod, at most, slid down the door a few inches when it got yanked really hard once. Other than that, it stays in place. A 4 year old has pulled at the curtain more times than I count and the rod never budges. You know, it is really difficult to find a good magnetic curtain rods. This one is a winner. โบ4/20/14 Update: I have two of these curtain rods and both continue to function great. Both are one very active kitchen doors where the curtains get moved often. They never slide. If fact, it is difficult to make them slide. Neither has ever fallen off the door.

loved it at first, after a couple months not so much
These things are rock solid. I used the adhesive on my new vinyl French Doors and they work perfectly holding up gathered valances. Not sure I would put a heavy drape on them, and you do need to be careful putting them up, because once they are up...they are up! But for me...perfect! I used the adhesive to put on vinyl French doors. After a couple months, it fell off. I put it back up, last one week, fell off and the plastic broke. Now I have no way to secure the rod and still have the sticky pad on the door than I can't get off. Not happy...

Works fine
Not much to look at, but it does its job. I had tried a commonly seen thin, metal rod that only extended 24" but couldn't find a longer one locally, not even at the big box stores. Cheap metal rod finally broke and fell off. This rod is long enough, doesn't bend or sag when extended and sticks to the door. That's all I ask. One year later: This rod broke too. Probably because I'm using a dark brown towel as my "curtain" to block out light. I came up with a better solution, though! I ordered four ceramic magnets (approx. 1"x2") from Radio Shack. I folded 6" of the towel down to hide the magnets, then put it up on the metal door, fold facing backwards. No rod to break or even see, and it's a nice, tight hold since it's magnet/towel/door. Hope that makes sense. I would still recommend this rod if you're using a lighter weight fabric for your curtain!

This is a great magnetic curtain rod
This is a great magnetic curtain rod. I don't get some of the reviews saying the magnets aren't strong enough because they are very strong. I have this on my kitchen door which leads to my backyard and it's opened and closed, oh I don't know, like a million times a day........and it's never fallen off! I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a magnetic curtain rod and I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

It's adequate
I have a steel front entry door with stained glass in it. For the last decade or more I had a magnetic blinds thing on there to close up for privacy or to cut some of the light, since this door faces south so during the day the sun is on that side of the house. But I have upgraded all my windows to nice blackout cellular shades that do top down and bottom up, and I wanted to get better blacking out here as an option. This curtain rod seemed a good choice - neutral with the clear "color" so it wouldn't stand out much from the door or curtain. But it's not that well made, the edges of the rod where the curtain has to slide over weren't smoothed well, so it hung and snagged a lot as I tried to slide the curtain over it. Then the ends with the magnets kept falling out. Seriously, I know we have to have the two halves slide apart to get the curtain on, but I was not expecting the ends to just fall off as well. Cheaply made, hardly worth the price, but at least once I managed to get things assembled and on the door, I won't have to move it again and the magnets seem strong enough to hold...

It certainly did the job and I am very happy. I wish the magnet holders were metal instead ...
I live in an apt and have a metal screen door and wanted to put up a curtain for privacy so people wouldn't be looking in to my apt when passing by. It certainly did the job and I am very happy. I wish the magnet holders were metal instead of plastic (more durable) and the rod is plastic not too strong. but, I am happy none the less.

Did the job perfectly
I'd purchased a much flimsier magnetic rod at a local department store to hang curtains on our metal door. It was damaged at one point and I had to replace it. One of the things I didn't like about the original was that while the magnets held the brackets on the door, they tended to slide down a little with the opening and closing of the door. This one has larger brackets/magnets and stayed exactly where I placed it months ago. Good job!
