Lake Country - CCS Orange Hook & Loop Light Cutting Foam Pads - 5.5 Inch Diameter - 3 Pack

On the original product (See attached Image), the back of the pads are white and have the "Smart Pads" logo and text. These do not have the logo and text! They also did not work half as good as the real pads. Guys please verify if they are genuine before use!

Fake nowhere does it say lake country pads

Like others have said, this is a knock off product. These are not real Lake Country pads. Wish I could get my money back for these. I just got some real Lake Countries from AutoGeek and they are nothing like this pads.

As others have stated these are not lake country pads. I just ordered some from Auto Geek and the packaging and look of the pad are completely different. The edge on these are not rounded off and the velcro is black. The real pads have white velcro with LCD smart pad written on them and the edge of the pad is rounded off. I'm going to return these and call Amazon about it. It looks like from other reviews this has been going on for too long. Shame on Amazon for letting these sell under a brand name.

This is a great pad for removing swirls, scratches, marring and oxidation. It can be used with Meguars 105 for serious paint correction or a one step for an aggressive one step treatment on older or harder paint. It finishes down well enough for an everyday driver, and should be kept available when doing a multi step treatment on vehicles. I have used it with the Chemical Brothers line of polishes from V34, V36 and V38. The holes in the pad hold polish and allow for a longer working time without heating the vehicle surface. They are great for 1 - 3 panels before cleaning; depending on the level of correction needed and how much "ick" is collected on the pad. I have re ordered this product and it has never let me down.

I purchased 6 of these pads total, so I could do a full 4-door car and not have to use each pad too long, or stop to wash them. They worked ok on the first car, then I washed them by hand in warm water in a bucket, and let them air dry. When I was about half-way done with my second car, and had just started using a new pad for the driver's side of the car. I completed the rear quarter panel, the rear drivers door, and as I started on the driver's door, there was a loud pop, and part of the pad hit me in the leg. After pulling it off my DA polisher, I saw the middle of the backing had essentially exploded out, and was missing a big hole like in someone else's picture, plus a big chunk off the side of the pad which is what hit me in the leg.Very disappointing considering how lightly I've used these pads, and I had just started work with the DA polisher for the day, so it's not like it was overheated or anything, and the pad had time to cool down as I was wiping down each section after completing it.

I used these pad with my 5" DA Polisher to apply griot's garage one step sealant for my car. The first pad was broken when a half of my hood was done and I replaced the second one which was broken when another half of the hood was almost done. So two pads were broken at the same . Buyer be aware this product was terrible.

I thought I would take a chance, that Amazon fixed the supplier problem with this item but I lost! These pads don’t have the foam quality or density that my other lake country CCS pads have; the hook and loop pad is not attached very well and is a lower quality. Also the edges aren’t chamfered. They are useless. I am returning them and won’t buy DA plates or pads from amazon until they get this fixed.
