Aluminum Alloy Tent Stakes Pegs, 12-Pack Aluminum Ground Pegs with Reflective Pull Ropes, Lightweight Metal Stakes Pegs for Camping Tents Hammocks

These stakes are great, go for it. The item photo makes them appear to be the ubiquitous triangular aluminum stakes at Wally World and the like, but these are much better. Why ? - They aren’t too long, a typical annoyance with similar stakes in big box camping aisle grab bins. They’re also not weenies that pop out at the first tug. - They are plenty—if not surprisingly— light but not ultra gram weenie Titanium/Helium/magic unicorn light. Save $$ here in exchange for a negligible bit of weight. If you’re concerned about the weight... seriously, don’t fret: these are A-OK. - They are quite sturdy. You CAN bend & wreck them (I have on one) by hard driving into rock or, like me, step/tripping on them but it takes a hearty goof to do so. They’ll last ages if you don’t wail on them like a carnival beast haha. - The three ridge teeth things on the top end are extremely useful, especially if you use paracord for guyline tie-downs. I’ve not seen stakes with this feature and I love it. - You get a bunch. Tent + tarp day shelter, hammock rainfly in wind, ready spares... whatever. It’s nice to have a handful available for now and later. Real world trials and performance: I have a Hyke & Byke 1p Zion for backpacking and generally set up a separate tarp fly with my trekking poles and paracord guys for a day shelter and water collection (Sawyer 1 gal bag) if it is rainy. Makes playing QRP ham radio in camp much more fun :-). Anyway, H&B gear ships with plenty of high quality ultralight stakes but they are SO easy to bend if you hit a root or rock even if being careful. THESE stakes are FAR stronger, similar length and only a few grams each heavier. And yes, H&B’s little pusher disk thing to drive the stakes fits perfectly. Definitely superior. If you use H&B tents or similar gear, this pack of stakes is well worth considering. Plus like I said, you get a bunch. I’ve used these stakes now for three backpacking trips: two in the Hoosier Nat Forest (Deam wilderness) in both high ridge/dense forest and lakeside; and most recently on a 5 day/22 mi loop through Dolly Sods WV... in all environments the stakes dug in, stayed put and didn’t get thrashed even against serious wind gusts. Forest floor, dense sand+small rock, rain/gentle mud & clay, semi-soggy grass... these things got the job done everytime with reasonable site selection and patience. I cannot ask more from my gear. I leave the other stakes in my collection at home now... the new ones have totally proven themselves. The only stakes I miss a little are the skinny hook/crook things that make small grommets on ground tarps easy... but those nasty things bend just looking at them. So I tie up a small paracord loop through the grommets or use zip ties, place these new stakes just outside the grommet (they don’t fit in the hole) and the job gets done. Good luck, happy camping.

Lightweight, very well made. Highly recommended. Only thing I have found to be a problem is the string on the stake will break if put them in with a mallet (harder ground than able to put in bare handed) used a mallet and when tried pulling the stake the string broke. Just used the end of tarp rope and pulled right out. So I suggest changing the string to a slightly longer piece that you could tie a knot in and not just a melted ends together. Just gives you more to grab. Other wise no issue that would cause to not buy again when I need them. For the price I’ll take em.

Lightweight but reasonably strong. Good replacement for standard tent prongs, easy enough to hammer into the ground, although slightly harder due to the three-sided design. None of them have broken yet and they hold well, but the aluminum makes me wonder how long they'll last. So far so good though.

This is not one of those cool, sexy products. Nope. These are tent stakes. However, these are very well-made tent stakes, and if you're in need of new tent stakes these are going to work out perfect for you. My chief complaint with some of the other tent stakes I've used is that they bend way too easy at the notched cutouts. These haven't had that issue. The bag they come with is sufficient, and the reflective ties at the end of each stake are a nice touch. OK, maybe these really are a cool, sexy product?

Good quality

Light weight 3-sided extruded aluminum stakes coated with black paint--powder-coated, possibly, as I see no drips, runs, or errors. Another nice surprise is that there are no sharp edges on any of them that would destroy other stuff, so they were tumbled or somehow de-burred. The orange cords are the right length and sturdy. The silver stake bag is of a fairly light fabric with an interior textured black plastic coating, possibly waterproof, that I've never seen before, but the exterior has a nice "hand." I prefer cordura or ripstop nylon bags--but that's not possible at this price. I've no way to test the aluminum alloy that was used for these stakes, but imho they are certainly worth their cost. Would buy again.

Lightweight but not that strong, I broke one just tapping it into soft soil and it bent.

I used these stakes to secure a tarp canopy with poles and guylines. The notches in the top ensure a more secure tie down. I hammered the stakes into the ground using the back of my camp axe without any scuffing, bending, or warping. The stakes didn't loosen or come out during a storm with 40MPH wind gusts, and when it came time to pack up the stakes were still easy to remove. A quick tap on a hard-ish surface will dislodge any dirt/soil stuck to the stakes. I will definitely be using these for all of my rainfly, tarp shelter, and awning needs. *These are probably not the best to anchor a tent with metal rings, but could be modified to do so if nessisary with cordage or small carabiners *

super solide, léger, aluminium, 3ieme fois j'en ai acheté pour changer tout les originaux de toutes mes tentes et abris, ils sont solide, bien fait, léger et presque impossible a crochir.

Really well made tent stakes. Has a good quality pouch too! Quality aftermarket replacement! (The default stakes included with most tents is best forgotten.) Highly recommended!

I needed some extra tent pegs and these ones are slightly large than my current ones but appear to be built better/stronger. I like these better than the plastic ones and the round metal pegs since they are about the same weight, are stronger and will not rotate one in the ground.

They're no groundhogs. I wouldn't use these on an ultralight trip where every ounce counts and extras are left behind, but to stake something down anywhere weight is no concern, these are decent stakes for a decent price. They won't last forever, carry spares.
