I used these on the end of all cable runs, where-ever the main cable run connects to a piece of equipment, speaker, etc. that has a n LED strip run on it.I used solder seal heatshrink connectors to make connections of these to end of runs, females on main run ends. Males on all individual LED strip runs so they may be connected, disconnected, and placed in different locations/moved around on the main run.Worked great!!Recomended!!

Well made, easy to use, well designed component

It works for my use.

I've purchased these a couple of times and they have become my preferred JST connectors for working with electroluminescent wire. I prefer these because the wires are pre-tinned which removes the necessity of tinning these myself, while this only save a few seconds those seconds can add up.Bear in mind that the wire in these is very fine, possibly 22awg or even 24awg, which means they are only suitable for low current applications, these will drive a few feet of EL wire or a handful of LEDs, but don't expect them to drive an entire string of LEDs or anything that will draw much more than about 1/2 Watt. If you try to use these with too large a load they'll likely show you how electricity can turn into fire.My only fault with these are the pins inside the connector, they're quite soft and can easily be damaged if not properly aligned. While this has happened to me a few times, If I take care to insure everything is aligned properly I can disconnect and reconnect them many times. In any case these are much easier to work with than to terminate my own wires with JST connectors, so that at least is a big win. I do wish though it was possible to buy these in single gender packs, I find I use far more male connectors for my purposes than female.

I’ve been using these for several year for wiring lighting for my model train (ho) buildings. Always arrive on time, low cost per set and can be unplugged when needed.

This fitted perfectly to the 5 pin connectors snapped onto my Feit LED strips from Costco to connect segment to segment in my project. The connectors come together and apart easily and securely. I only needed 2 pairs but had to buy the pak of 20 pairs.

The wires are very small. I gave them five stars because of fact that they listed them for led lights. They would be great for a small load. I used them to make charging adapters for charging RC batteries on a charging board that can charge six batteries at a time. They were okay for that. To make adapters to use for batteries for powering RC boats they would be very much too small of a wire. The batteries I have use #18 wire on the leads. The wire in these is way smaller than 18.

The price for me was only $5.29 and included FREE SHIPPING from the seller. This was not an Amazon Prime product which would have been free shipping also, but it was the price stated which included shipping. Amazon includes it's cost of shipping in the Prime price, which jacks the price up some, but it is higher than some other offerings, I have found. These battery connectors, when used for a project have large enough red and black wires for higher current than is usually needed by me and the plugs are locking, with very solid fittings. Once together they stay together, until you unlatch the connection with the locking snaps. I like them a lot and will order more.
