I used to just 'recite' the words of the prayers associated with the Rosary, but now, with every bead of a Hail Mary, there is a single sentence associated with the bead that brings the decade that you're praying come to life in your mind. It prevents my mind from 'wandering' while saying the Holy Rosary and focuses my thoughts on the Mystery that I am praying. I no longer 'fall asleep', while praying the Rosary as I frequently had done prior to obtaining this booklet. I cannot tell you how much this booklet has helped me to really PRAY the Rosary and not just SAY the Rosary, just as the title states.

The media could not be loaded. I ordered three books for the rosary and this one hit the mark! Small but not too small with lots of details about each mystery.

I first purchased this as a help to remembering the rosary mysteries and to aid in a deeper meditation on them. Some people find they meditate best on the mysteries while looking at pictures, drawings, or sacred art. I meditate best by building a word picture, and that is what this booklet gives you. It provides a sentence or two for each bead to help meditate on the mysteries, and provides Scriptural references for many of them.I've bought four copies and I expect to purchase many more. At this price it is easy to give away to anyone who expressed interest in the way of praying on and meditating on the rosaries.It does give a guide in general to praying the rosary and the preceding prayers. It does not contain the entire text of all the prayers said at my church following the rosary (this seems to vary from parish to parish anyway). It does contain the Salve Regina (Hail Holy Queen), but omits the Rosary Prayer, the Memorare, and the Prayer to St. Michael. I simply paste them in from another source.

My Kindle is my source for learning and praying. This Prayer is taken with me everywhere I go and in this form I can pray whenever I want to without attracting attention. This prayer is organized in a way that I can pray without pulling out my Rosary unless I want to.I ESPECIALLY LIKE the line by line comments and verses. I'm always looking for compact Scriptural Rosary books. This one is perfect: if I'm on the go, in church, on break,or just on my nightstand. Wonderful Scriptures to focus on for every Decade & and all 4 Mysteries. It's of great help if have "brain Fog." I know why it is a beloved classic.I will probably order another one!
