Really made good and good for training

I use these gloves for boxing heavy bag work and light sparring around 2-3 times a week - I have to say these are excellent gloves. The quality of the material is superb, cleans easily and has just the right level of grip when connecting with the bag. The padding is consistent around the glove and actually a lot sleeker than with some 16oz gloves that look and feel quite bulky. These feel compact and solid on your hands and provide the additional padding a 16oz glove is supposed to give. I am quite a heavy puncher, and often have an issue with the wrist strapping on lighter gloves that don't provide adequate protection. The strapping on these is perfect, providing the right level of support whilst not being too rigid. They also look fantastic on top of the great performance so really can't fault these at all. The price I think is fair as you have to pay a bit for quality in particular when it comes to contact sports equipment, cheap materials and production quality is really false economy. Strongly recommend!

They are really really fantastic boxing gloves

Having used Everlast boxing gloves for two months. I noticed a huge difference in the switch. The Venum gloves are much more comfortable around the hand. They seem more breathable. Overall, much more solid, premium feel. The cushioning where the punch connects the bag is great too. Aesthetically, they are very pleasing on the eye too. I recommend them.

These gloves are good for pad work, sparring and medium weight bag work. I like the heavy bag and much prefer my previous Twins Specials which have much better hand protection. I also find that the Venum gloves slip more on sweat probably due to synthetic ‘leather’ (I thought they were leather when I purchased them) so you are more prone to a wrist injury, so wrap the wrists well. These also seem to come up a little shorter in the fingers than the specials so I don’t recommend for big hands. If I had to choose between the two, Twins Special would get my 5 stars. These are a good gloves though and a lot of people also comment on how good they look - if that’s a thing that matters to you.

Love these gloves, they're VERY nice looking and the build quality is of a high standard! Really comfortable, 14oz is perfect for all round use, gives the perfect amount of protection! Don't forget to get some wraps for heavy bag work. Have let my girlfriend use these for pad work and she gets on really well with them too. Top marks from me, would definitely recommend for all experience levels..

I'm 5'11+ at 181cm and 87kg, and my hands are just under large, and in some ways I feel like I'm ever so slightly loose (but not unsafe) yet curiously still snug in these 16oz gloves, I mean I've never felt at risk as they have a wonderful inner padding baffle (some kind of folded material texture) based padding, and a terrific wrist stem - but certainly the 16oz glove can take a large to reasonably large hand. I like to tap the bag as hard as I can, I've been using these three times a week for six weeks now, and I have not yet had a wrist over-bend. in my opinion these gloves are to be recommended.

Great quality gloves
