Inexpensive, light weight, easy assembly, works well at low speed, EASY TO CLEAN THE BLADES!
I love this fan! It cools remarkably well. I can feel the air (even at low speed which is the only speed I use) from farther than what I would expect. I use it in this hot, humid Texas weather with my air conditioner. When the air goes off, I still have circulating, cooler air. It actuallly keeps my conditioner from working so hard and keeps my bill reasonable. It is easy, easy to pack up if you wish to You can pack it into a box as big as the fan grill with a little extra room for the stand which folds way down. It is very light for a fan. I brought home a metal fan which I purchased for my classroom when the air conditioning system for the school would upon occasion break down. You can imagine all the dust it got from having so many people in the room. That's lots of little dead skin cells and little dust mites (I live in a humid area which is year round prone to dust mites.) It was gross. I tried using small brushes, toothbrushes and clothes I tried to get into the grill. There was no way to remove the grill. Finally, I donated the fan. This fan has this huge benefit I didn't even think about when I needed it in an emergency (Amazon delivered it in 1 hour!). Here it is.: You can so easity remove the grill and you know that because you have to snap the front and back grill pieces together over the blades when you receive the fan. You just barely pull the front grill (not enough to break it) open just wide enough to slip a dull butter knife (the silverware kind, not the sharp kind) into the opening and just gently slide it around the middle of the grill and soon it is opened and you can remove the front and back grills. Then you just clean the blades and insides of dust and snap the pieces back together. So easy. I read that fans pull dust and dust mites from the air (and that's good!) and thats why the blades get so dirty. It's kind of like an accidental air filter...but, of course, not as good as regular air filters. No more impossible to clean fan blades...❤️❤️it!

Nice fan.
I had a little trouble putting it together. The instructions that came with it were not real clear or complete. I have put together DIY cabinets for my kitchen, and other things, and had no trouble. About the time I started pounding on it with my flashlight, I realized there was a second piece that had to be removed on the fan assembly they had not mentioned. I found Mandy Douglas' video on assembly very helpful. I just wish I had seen it in the beginning. The fan is very nice and really puts out the air. It is pretty quiet and I am overall happy with it.

The "patented folding base" is junk. No customer support. DO NOT BUY!!!
UPDATED REVIEW 09/2019 I bought this fan two years ago. At the time I thought it was OK. But three weeks ago, the plastic hinge component which forms the center of the "folding base" failed. While the other plastic components seem more durable, this important structural component is cheaply manufactured. The plastic literally crumbled in my hands when I investigated why the fan had fallen over! My preliminary analysis is that they used very little plastic resin and way too much sand as a filler. With no flexibility, and inadequate UV inhibitors is not necessarily a design flaw, it is evidence of cutting corners during the manufacturing process. Comfort Zone has a nearly impenetrable website for support, and no telephone support that I could find. However I did manage to find an email portal. It's well out of warranty ... I asked if I could buy replacement components. There has been no response. So I consider this vendor to be unworthy of anyone's future business! All other fan components remain serviceable. Rather than throw it in the trash, I decided to look for a replacement base. An indoor flag stand might be perfect to hold the 1-1/4" diameter rod, but anything I found cost more than the fan is worth. So I decided to concoct my own replacement. (See the photos) The homemade base is essentially an upside down plastic saucer from under a garden pot. A cast iron floor flange for 1-1/4" diameter pipe is screwed through the saucer into a piece of scrap lumber underneath. Then a 1-1/4" diameter x 3" long pipe nipple is threaded into the floor flange. (Hand-tightened only, with a couple wraps of teflon pipe tape for easy disassembly.) The fan's support pole fits loosely into the pipe, so I applied some wraps of electrician's tape to create a snug fit. Sprayed that with silicone lubricant, then twisted it into place where it stayed secure and centered. Then spray-painted it white to match the fan. Plugged it in a couple hours ago; better than new! Total cost $6 for the pipe fittings. Everything else was stuff I had laying around. Conclusion: DO NOT BUY THIS FAN! It is not structurally sound. Customer support is non-existent! The best thing about it is my home-made replacement base. ORIGINAL REVIEW FROM 2017: I measured the fan blade of my old pedestal fan whose motor burned out after 18 years. ... 16" So I ordered this Comfort Zone CZST161BTE to replace it. Surprise! These fans are measured by the diameter of the fan guard, not the fan blade. It's blade is more like 13"- 14" diameter. Guess what I wanted was a 20" pedestal fan? No matter, this is a nice smaller fan that I will keep. The stand is much lighter that the larger-diameter fan, so is the motor section, but that makes sense. Not too tall, but it does the job. Inexpensive, I think a good value for the price.

UPDATED REVIEW/Pretty decent!
I was not getting any decent airflow from this fan BUT it's because the blade assembley was not lined up with the pin. Make sure you line up the blade assembly with the metal pin. That was my fault. Now that it is assembled properly, it has nice airflow, although there are heavy duty 5 blade fan assemblies available to swap out this flimsy 3 blade, which I might do. The problem with the really flimsy plastic fan blade is the higher the speed, the more the blades flatten out, so you actually get more straight from the fan forward flowing air on low speed. The higher the speed, the more the air goes more out to the side rather than right in front.

Amazing!!
The windows in my room aren’t properly insulated (this house was build in 1905 and it has the original windows) and it gets super hot in North Carolina, so my room gets hot as well. This fan has made my room 10x cooler than it was before and I actually have had to use my winter blanket at night! It’s definitely worth the price, and it works as a really good white noise if you need to have some noise to sleep. It was fairly easy to put together, although I recommend looking up a YouTube video on it because the manual it comes with has very small print.

Not horrible/not great
Cheap product. Must’ve sent me a wrong piece because had to cut it just to get it to fit. Not sure it’ll last long. Not loud though so that’s a good thing.

Black Magic 🌬
Love this fan! Affordable, classy, and very effective! Creates a nice cool breeze. Quiet enough. No rattling. HINT ON ASSEMBLY (for novices like me): The silver pole packed within the black pole should slide through the plastic "fringed" end. Not the other end. You might have to gently prod it through, but it will exit properly. That's the same silver pole end that slides into the fan base and where you tighten securely with the black gear at base of fan. Make sure that enough of the silver pole is within the fan base so the fan gear does not wobble off. Hope that helps! Otherwise, assembly was fairly basic. We would definitely purchase again.

Buen producto

Nothing to know. Keep dust free.
Good size and height. Very appropriate for my unit. First speed is quite powerful on it's own.
