HaywardLACUS11100 ColorLogic 320 1.5-Inch LED Pool and Spa Light, 12-Volt, 100-Foot Cord

I bought this like to replace a broken savi Melody light. This is a direct replacement for the Melody light and installation is actually pretty simple. You will need a special tool to remove the Melody light which is a flat piece of metal with two prongs on it which I was able to get from my local pool builder. They had the tool in stock because so many of these lights go bad. Once the light was removed I simply pulled the existing wire through the conduit with a string tied to it. When the string came through I was able to put the string onto the Hayward light and fish the wire in the reverse order. The 1.5 inch LED Hayward light fit into the existing niche. I then used the included tools to tighten the expanding ring which sealed water from entering the nearest any further. I then went to the junction box and tied the new Hayward wires into the existing wires where the other lights remain. I then turned the power back on and the lights worked perfectly. The only issue I have is that I cannot seem to sink the Melody lights with this new Hayward light. The good news is the Hayward light is contained in the spa only and the existing Melody lights that are not burned out are both in the pool.This light is very bright and has more colors to it than my existing melody lights. The construction looks very good and the cord was deathly long enough for my application.

These lights offered by Hayward are extremely expensive and do not last. I had one replaced in last year after the first one burnt out in less than 2 years. Second light just burnt out exactly one year after it was replaced. A second light I had to replace last less than 2 years. They seem to last just past the 1 year warranty mark. Not worth the replacement costs.

Good replacement light. Original did not last long. Fairly easy to replace.

I don't mined paying for something that will last but these do not. wish i had another option.

For those folks who are installing this in an inground pool it is imperative that the pvc sleeve and connection to the pool wall be water tight for its entire length. After speaking with a number of pool installers, they confirmed these lights are not designed to be water tight, meaning there is seepage of water between the rubber gasket of the fixture and the pvc that houses the light. This has led to massive headaches with the owner of the pool.Otherwise the controller interface, light brightness, range of color are lovely.

Super easy to install (not worth the install price of $300 that the pool store quoted) so the fact it was easy and free install is a win. It has been used for a few months now and is going strong and working great! Worth every penny.

Had first set installed with oil and lasted about 2 years. Found there were bad batches but Hayward wouldn’t warranty. Bought second set, had to install myself since no pool co would do it locally. Lasted one summer and went out! Looking for better options. Tired of spending money on cheap expensive pool lights!

The lights are beautiful and worked well for one year. We just noticed that some colours are weak.
