LIBERON Black Bison Wax

This is a product every woodworker should have in their finishing supplies. Whether repairing existing pieces or finishing new ones this product will fit into the picture. I will use it at every opportunity. It looks good and smells good (an added bonus).

This is the best product for fine furniture. Nothing else compares. I am so happy to find it online because I have been searching for it in stores for a long time. A decorator gave me my first container of it and I have been sold ever since. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to protect their furniture and have a deep rich polish on it.

Works well on my 120 year old bagpipes! Very subtle, not shiny, not gooey...pleasant odor.

I bought this at rockler, but leaving this review here.I would NEVER buy this & would tell people to AVOID this like the plague.I applied this & it would not buff out. So then I tried removing it with mineral spirits. I tried it so many times, I was flooding it with mineral spirits and trying to rub it out with 0000 steel wool, and I finally had to resort to resanding the piece.horrible product.

I had been saving the last corners of a tin of this wax I bought in England years ago saving it for only the best projects. I was sooooooo excited to see I could get it here in the US and it's just as good. You won't be disappointed. By far the best wax I have ever used.

Great product. It was easy to use, and I don't even notice a smell -- which wasn't unpleasant to begin with -- on the furniture less than 12 hours later. The can was a little tough to open, though. It got here quickly, as promised by the seller.

This wax has a nice smell, and is easy to work with. However, do NOT use on painted pieces, it is marked clear but dries just as orange as in the can. I have a bank of white cabinets that look like they were washed with an orange crayon, and I used sparingly, buffed with a drill powered soft bristle brush. The shine isn't really there, but I can't do another coat. Fiddes wax in clear is the best, and perfectly clear. Min wax had the same color, but for the dark gray cabinets gave an amazing luster. Wish I could undo the whole thing!

Although I am not a collector of furniture I recently acquired an older set of very nice bedroom furniture and wanted to treat it properly. So, based on many positive reviews, I decided to try the rather expensive Liberon Black Bison furniture wax. I used 0000 steel wool to apply the wax and a soft cloth to buff the finish. The result was a nice shine that, hopefully, will last for a good while. As others have mentioned, there is a smell to the wax, but the smell dissipates relatively quickly as long as you get the applicator (the steel wool) out of the house and keep the can tightly closed after applying the wax.
