this is a good book enlightening

This book doesn't really teach you more than what common sense and 1 hour of youtube will. I have read reviews that stated this concerning other books, and I still learned something after I purchased. This book though, didn't teach me anything. There isn't anything in it as far as planning, load-bearing concerns as far as what would be needed per square foot. I was hoping for an example using 2x4, 4x4, 4x8... I didn't get it. Didn't get how hot and dry climates would effect irrigation. I live in USDA zone 9b and Sunset zone 13 so it gets up to 18 degrees in the summer. I can not use this book to plan a roof. I can though google on my own and plan much much better than this book supports. I would not recommend this to a friend or buy it again if I had the choice. It did have great pictures though
