Modern wall plugs for electronics are a hassle, they never fit neatly onto your surge protectors and uninterruptable power supplies. This is quite frankly a normal thing, and one I grew accustomed to. Wasted power outlets was something I'd just learned to live with.However, when I moved into my own place, I realized I wanted to game and get stuff done at the same time... and to do that I needed to have both of my monitors, my steam deck's dock, my desktop gaming PC, my router, AND my modem plugged in seperately to my Uninterruptable Power Supply at the same time to avoid possible loss of work and game progress at the same time.So, I did some research into solutions. Grounded extension cords are hard to find, and long ones are prone to tripping people, getting damaged when stepped or tripped on, and eventual malfunctions from said damage. I needed a set of one footers that fit neatly behind my PC and were only useful for the sole purpose of maximizing the usefulness of every outlet on my UPS.These fit the bill very nicely, Now my modem and router, PC, monitors, and steam deck's dock can remain powered even when there is an outage, which works very well considering my ISP seems to use some kind of backup power solution themselves. If the power goes out, I can notify my teammates OR save my single player session, quit the game, save my documents, and not have to worry about lost data, progress, or punishment from overzealous anti-bad-sportsmanship scripts and tools in multiplayer games (or in the case of survival games or elite dangerous, loss of valuable stuff due to not getting to shelter before disconnecting).

They are holding up well.

I needed just a couple extra feet for the placement of my computer monitor on my desk in relation to where the nearest outlet was. This did the trick.

Great length for storage

It was a great way to plug in a coffee machine safely.

They describe this as an outlet saver, I’m not sure what they mean by that but you still have to plug it in to an outlet, thereby using that outlet, so in reality it’s not saving an outlet.More accurately it is a grounded extension cord, available in seven different lengths from one foot to 25 feet in length. I bought the one foot size and that is what I am discussing here.THE REAL LENGTHWhile it didn’t make a lot of difference to me, for some mission critical applications it might so let’s define how long it really is. The one foot model adds exactly twelve inches of distance between the face of the outlet and the face of the cord’s receptacle, however the total length of the product is about one inch longer which includes the grounded power pins on the plug end. The pic I included illustrates this.CAPACITYStated load capacity is a maximum of 1250 watts 10 amps 110 volts. Despite what it looks like and how it feels that is not as much as you may be expecting. Will it handle more – I don’t know, that rating is what the manufacturer states.CONSTRUCTIONIt does feel relatively rugged and heavy duty. What’s important these days are the contacts. At the plug end the pins are stamped metal, the ground pin is stamped and formed, it is not solid metal. At the receptacle end there are full brass inserts that contact the full surface both sides of the blades and ground pin. This is worth knowing because many of the power cord products coming from China these days only use a small point of contact rather than full surface.APPLICATIONI see my application as twofold – the reason I bought it is to add just a very short amount of length to a small appliance that has a cord that doesn’t quite reach the outlet. I was tired of moving the device each time I wanted to use it and this adds the very small amount of length I needed. For the same device it is one that I unplug between uses. It is far easier for me to unplug it from this extension cord than to reach the inverted power strip I have installed over my food prep area.SUMMARYIt does what it is intended to do and it is priced realistically.

I just need 3 feet no more no less, for work! Had longer cords and they got in the way, I do a lot of grinding and this cord works perfectly, thick and well made! Well so far I just got it, and it's exactly what I needed, great buy!

The product description and reviews showed a short outlet saver cable but the product name had '25 ft' in it. The price seemed too low for a long cable so I hit buy. Whoops! Three 25' cables showed up at my door.They look like nice cables! They don't look like outlet savers.

Why buy these short extensions? They are perfect when you need to access a plug in a cramped location without having to really stretch. For example, I have a power bar in a tight spot where the power bar isn't much narrower than the cramped area.

I bought this extension when I bought the Stanley Jump starter because the it was kind of recommended to buy both together. This extension is not at all compatible with the Jump starter that I bought. I feel I was deceived buy the Jump started product description and the Buying both product together. Returning this product is not easy, you have to answer many question from Canada Direct (original Seller). I don't recommend buying this product. Kind of being cheated.

We needed a short extension cord to enable us to connect some of our appliances to the nearest wall outlet. We like that in this cord the wiring was heavy so it could take as much current as required and when connected to the appliance it was a connection that would hold and not fall apart.
