On the front of the light there is a VERY tiny hole, and you have to use a paperclip to press the button that is inside. Once you do that, the light will begin working. They are very bright, and very accurate with their motion AND darkness detection. I have them along the wooden post fence that lines my driveway. When I walk by during the day, they don't turn on, but when I go by them at night time they light right up! They are also very resistant to weather; I live in the southern region of the US, along the coast, and we get heavy rain at least 3x/week during hurricane season, and regular rain 3x/week in the off season. I would definitely recommend! Also, they DO come with the hardware to install them (screws & anchors), and they are very good quality.

These are fantastic lights! I got a pack of 4 lights. They were easy to install. One light was not turning on so I had to unscrew the back and it turns out the power button was just slightly ajar. I repositioned it and it works perfectly. They are not overly sensitive, but turn on just at the right distance (about 5 feet) when installed just above my head. They are very bright and stay on for about 30 seconds. I used them for my driveway entrance and just ordered another set to put in other areas of the property. Great buy!

The reason I gave 4 stars as opposed to 5 is that, unlike every other solar motion lights I have purchased in the past, these light do not have a mode where they are on at a much lower output level to mark their location when motion is not sensed. The only time you will see any light output is when the sensors detect motion. If you are planning to install these say on a walkway where it can be illuminated at a much lower output level then when fully illuminated when motion is detected, these will not work, they are totally dark until motion is detected. However, when they are activated, the light output is very bright to the left/right sides and below the unit, the brightest have ever seen from compact led lights of this size.

I have been using solar LED lights like this one for a few years to add some illumination to my backyard. Mounting those on the fence provides light when it's needed (such as taking the dog out when it's dark), and keeps the light pollution down otherwise. Similar lights had served us well so far, with only about 10% of them going bad in the last 4 years. These lights improve things quite a bit: - Larger solar panel surface provides for more efficient light collection. I can't say whether it provides a material result, since we've never ran out of battery even with the old light. - Larger amount of LEDs provides a much brighter light. - The way LEDs are arranged (center+sides), the light is multi-directional, covering a larger area. - On/Off button on the back is a welcome addition -- I'm used to a hidden switch operated with a staple. The only gripe is -- I wish the included screws/hardware would be of a better quality. But it is pretty standard across all such lights.

These solar lights are just what I need for outdoor areas that I want to have a light come on when someone is in the area. One is really useful near my outdoor shed as it lights up as I approach the door. I have another one over a gate into the backyard. There are a total of four lights in the package. The solar panels have a protective plastic film on them, so besure to remove it. I try to position my lights at twilight, dark enough for them to activate but still light enough for me to see what I am doing. Make sure the motion sensor is triggered by motion in the area you desire (it's helpful to have someone walk by so you don't have to go up and down the ladder while you get it just right). Also, make sure the light is shining where you want it to. They include screws and drywall anchors for the customer's convenience. Most of mine are screwed into the top lip of a gutter. Easy to mount on a one-story home. One quick tip: There is a simple power on/off button on the back (see photo). Make sure you turn it on before getting down off the ladder.

Super easy to install been wanting some for the back yard and got to say I’ve had them for a couple months now and they still work great no reliably issues here I’ve tried other ones before and they would go out or stop charging or only work for a little and go dead now with this one last all night waking early in the morning they still turn on makes getting to the car a lot easier and since they are so cheap I could have a lot around the house to light up everything

I live in the country so I have wildlife in and out of my yard. I bought these So I can tell if something is out there so I know not to let my dog out. THE GOOD 👍 : They are very bright when activated. I had 2 around my dog pen and my friends joke that it “Lights up like a stadium”. Exaggeration of course but they are bright. THE BAD 👎 : Of the 4 in the pack only 2 worked consistently. That was very disappointing. Another issue I had (that you may not) is that they didn’t detect my dog easily and she’s a 40 pound Beagle. I had to have them placed around her pen at knee (mine) height. I find the motion sensor to be in an odd place for the way it hangs. Again though... that may be just me. Prior to purchasing this 4 pack, I had purchased a 2 pack of “Zookki” solar motion sensing lights and they’re fantastic, just less bright. I’d recommend those.

These lights are really something. I was not expecting them to be as bright as they are. We had bought some lights similar to this last year for about the same price and they are awful compared to these. I originally purchased these to put on the house in the backyard because our neighborhood has had some break-ins and people snooping around in yards. I ended up taking all the old ones down and replacing all of them. I bought 2 more sets after I saw these. They last all night and the distance on the motion sensor is really good. The motion sensor can sometimes be a pain depending on where you have these setup and what you want their purpose to be. We have these on the front of our house also, and when the cars drive down the street they do light up. We are maybe 20-30 from the street.

I rarely write a review but I am so impressed with these lights. They are bright! Very happy with my purchase
