My Dog Loves it & is Sad Without, So I Replaced a Retired Monkey for a Fa-kaw Chicken!
Well what can I say, my dog Cocoa loves these screaming toys. The monkey was the 1st she had which after carrying it everywhere especially coming to its aid like its momma whenever she would hear it scream, when she finally got the screaming box out of the thing, I had to find her another. I saw the chicken and and immediately thought, "That's it!" She has to have it! So I purchased it and she loves as much if not even more than her screaming monkey now in the toy graveyard AKA dumpster! I mean when Cocoa retires a toy, there isn't much left of it to donate and give to anyone else pet as a hand-me-down. A more than well loved dog toy, perhaps not even made for pets but she sure got more use from the screaming monkey I had purchased for her monkey toy loving dog-brother. She took hold of that thing and as soon as she figured out how to make it scream it didn't stop but the way she would pick it up and carry it around in her mouth like one of her pups from a litter she never had, priceless. So I do recommend this cute novelty toy as a toy for a kid if you're not that parent who is easily annoyed by toys that make noise. It's fun, also others will get a good laugh if they are over and hear the sound that comes out of it. It's the perfect size for my medium size Pit Bull but my much larger Shepherd/Akita plays with these also. Like I said the original monkey this one replaces was my boy's 1st before she stole it from him and took it over as her own. I'm not sure of the age range but if my dog can play with it and not swallow any of the parts even after being able to tear into it and get the round screaming box mechanism out of them then I would think it would be okay for a kid at whatever age Playmaker states is okay. Its easy to fling it across the room and make it scream, they have this scrunchy type of legs, arms or neck that you pull on, draw back a pretty good bit and when you let go, like a fling-shot they will fly right out of your hands. I notice however it is Cocoa plays with them, mostly just carrying them and picking them up and flinging into their air or bouncing against the floor they scream. I'm not a parent, but with lots of nibblings (AKA Nieces and Nephews) I would say that babies would get a wonderful laugh from these toys.

Fabulous fun for Xmas morning and after for all ages.
I knew my family would love these flying animals. A few of them broke and I have been repairing their strings & rubber bands. Some of the animals paw pockets are hard to fit my 2 yr olds fingers inside, but overall they are wonderful and I love the various animal sounds when they are launched across the room. Beware lamps and cups of coffee! Even my cat goes running around after them. Will buy again. BIG HIT on XMAS morning. Huge value for the 6 piece pack.

It is a favorite toy for my little dog
We had bought one a year or so ago somewhere and our little dog loves it. The screeching sound might drive you bananas, but it fades and disappears in a month or so. When his monkey became mute, I found this one online and bought 3 of them. The sounds wear out sooner and are not as loud as the one I bought somewhere else. But that is a plus. The 4 yr. old great-grandson likes it also, but needs supervision as the arms are rubberized (it is a slingshot) and could hit himself in the face with it. So we must make sure he is throwing it. So older children maybe.

Fun for the whole family - even the dogs!
These are great. I actually bought them for my dog. I bought the monkey by itself a few years ago and it became his all time favorite toy. He loved the sound it made and he loves the way it flies across the house. Crazy is an understatement in the way he responds. When it came time to replace the monkey, I decided to buy this farm pack of variety animals. They were an instant hit, but I gotta say, the monkey is still his number 1 favorite. Also, the rooster broke immediately. I only pulled it back the first time and the head snapped right off. It actually became my favorite one because it never quite crowed right either. We had to shake him around to get him 'right'...then sometimes he still sounded like he was muffled or being strangled. The sound kind of fit his headless form. It made me laugh. Anyway, the fact that he didn't have a head didn't bother my dog at all, but if you were buying 6 of these for 6 kids, it may not be such an okay thing if one breaks right off the bat. Also note, that they're not sewn incredibly well so if using them as a dog toy you have to supervise your dog with them. Certain parts (like tails and arms) may come off easily. I've had to reinforce a couple of these on my own, but once I did, they have held up well.

Two Out of Six DOA
Two of the six were defective. The voice box in the frog โfeelsโ like it came apart inside the stuffed animal โ I canโt see it because it is sewn shut with no access. (A Velcro pouch would be great for this, and ultimately changing batteries.) The head of the chicken came off the first time it was used. It appears the rubber tubing that gives it the stretch is supposed to be knotted at the bottom, and that knot came undone. It was disappointing because I have five kids and got these as stocking stuffers, but a high percentage were defective.

Fun, yes. Durable, no
These are the type of toy you buy for short term fun impact. Do you want a toy for young or old that will get used right out of the box? This is it. Do you want a toy that will be used again and again? Choose something else. It is not durable. The arms break way to easily. This is not necessarily a negative if you are using it at home. The croak is so loud you may be glad when it finally breaks especially if you have a child (or husband) that likes to annoy you. be warned, while the arms break, the battery lasts and lasts. I am on my 3rd and 4 th flying frog. The first one I had looked different, cuter in my opinion, and was more durable. Unfortunately, I am unable to find that one any more. Why do I keep buying this one, I use it in the classroom and the children love it. The children take turns making it croak during the Five Little Frog song. I bought two this time, to have a back up when, not if, this one breaks. I love to have interactive items for our song and this also requires some motor planning and turn taking skills. The rubber arms can hurt if fingers get in the way, so it should be supervised with young children-- older ones, such as husbands, can just suffer the consequences :). I would recommend this as a funny adult, college, teen gift especially at a family party, for children over 7 or under 7 with directions and supervision who won't get upset if it breaks, or for the classroom. Unless you need it frog specific like I do, try the pig, the monkey, or chicken. The pig sound is the least annoying and the monkey fling the best. The pig and monkey seem to hold up better too.

Dog LOVES this toy
I bought this for our "office dog". I call it Bacon! He gets super excited when I ask if he wants to play with Bacon. He anticipates the release and he LOVES to play with this. We've done the flying monkey too, but Bacon is a hit. He's a chewer and will run away with the toy to tear them up. I close all the office doors to keep him from getting away, limit the number of slings and get it from him quickly, so this has lasted a long time. It is a great time, great toy and gets some of the energy out of the pup!

Was fun for a bit
I saw great review but was disappointed that a few weren't seen together properly, one was broken. The tags were still on otherwise I would've thought it was second hand. One of didn't have sound. Maybe I just didn't get a good batch. Gave it 3 stars because the kids did enjoy playing with the working ones.
