Transformer USB Flash Memory Drive 8GB

Flash drive is really cool. Transforms into a cat and back. Really small children would have difficulty with the process, but hey, they have no need for a flash drive. It is rather large compared to other drives, but that makes it less likely to get lost. My son found one at school and wanted to keep it very badly. He was honest and turned it in. So, heck yeah I ordered him one. After a year of use it still works great.

Now I love Transformers, and this flashdrive was without a doubt an instant buy, for 8gb and it transformed into an awesome sexy best like myself who wouldn't want this thing. My only problem with this thing is that over the course of time when you keep switching it from simple, boring USB flash drive to super sexy cat goddess the twisting parts receive wear and tear and eventually broke on me. This was over a course of maybe a month or two of having it. Still awesome. Like myself.

Pretty decent if you are quite careful transforming. Some of the pieces are very fragile and you just need to be careful. The usb tends to get pushed in when plugging into the computer but not overly annoying. The size alone is enough to dissuade you from using it as it hangs off a good distance and generally blocks other close usb ports. It's a great novelty item though and I tend to store items on it that I don't need to retrieve often due to it's bulky nature. Looks good on the desk too ;).

My kid loved the design of this flash drive. However, when we first received it, it worked fine. It slid in and otu okay. However after a few more times sliding it in and out it began to get stuck in the plastic and we had to take our finger tips to pull it all the way out. Then when we went to put it into the computer it pushes back in. We then took it apart and discovered the case the flash drive sits in is to big and it had hot glue to keep it in place. The Hot glue then spread under the clasp that made it hard to slide out. Now its officially stuck inside because like I said the case is to big for the disk.

This is a really cool idea and its really neat and especially nerdy. However, I just got done taking out the actual usb drive from it because it somehow got stuck in the inside, and I was not able to pull it back out without my multi-tool. Now it's just a simple transformer toy, but now I have to buy another usb drive. Also, it sometimes didn't fit in a pc because of the rest of the body, but that's a sacrifice you commit to when you buy it. Overall: Not a bad product, easily repairable, but I just wish that was not necessary.

First I want to say I bought this item more for the novelty of it than to expect it to be state of the art equipment. I know some people have been disappointed by the durability (or lack thereof) of this item, but let's get real - it's a transformer that doubles as a USB, not the other way around. I've used it for simple things like music storage or the occasional photo and have no issues with it. As for the construction/durability, so far so good (and I've had it for several months). Do I expect it to be a superior USB drive? NO! It's a novelty people!! Wake up!! It appears to be overpriced because 1) IT'S A NOVELTY! and 2) because it's being shipped from China. I would never put anything on a device like this that is super important! It's silly to have people complain about this item, when instead they should realize what it is they are actually purchasing. If you want a State-of-the-Art USB, go to a real manufacturer and shell out the $$$. Otherwise, stop complaining. For those of you interested in a fun novelty drive, I would recommend this one. All my friends think it's pretty cool and they all want to get one.

This device does everything it says it does. All pieces move freely and nothing is flimsy or feels like it will break. It holds lots of data and was perfect for my computer applications class because it gave me something to play with during the most boring lectures. No complaints at all!

I bought this usb drive for my daughter who's a big transformers fan and it looks pretty kool. It unfolds alright but you have to watch out because when i folded the tail a few times the pin fell out. It's not that big a deal because i heard it drop on the floor and it went back in nice and easy.
