I didn't have high expectations for this set, especially after receiving them. They are a standard flat magnet, with a "sticker" of some sort that shows the pattern. The plastic handles are kinda cheesy, but I did like the curved area that sets on the finger for helpful placement. I was pleasantly surprised to see that each pattern did create a different effect on nails. I used wakaniya Gel Nail Polish Set-3D Cat Eye Gel Nail Polish (https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B082VY5VXK?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_dt_b_product_details) . There are plenty of YouTube videos out there for this set of tools. Follow the instructions, learn how close you can hold them to the nail without disturbing the polish, how long you should hold the magnet over the wet polish, then cure each nail immediately after applying the effect. This photo is the first time I tried the polish with the tools, and I've very pleased with the effect. Despite the cuticles and home manicure quality, I didn't edit the photo :-) I don't have the patience to wait for standard polish to dry, so gel was definitely the way to go. At first, I put another magnet on top of these to increase the pull, but found I didn't really need it. For less than 20 dollars I got 6 colors of polish and 11 tools. Looking forward to learning better technique and many more home manicures.

I was so excited to get this in the mail and start doing cool cat eye designs, but alas, this doesn't even remotely work. I mean, the paddle magnet and pen magnet work fine? But honestly not any better than the little bar magnets that come WITH the magnetic polish. Not a single pattern magnet worked, and I tweaked it to the best of my ability trying to force it to work. I've been doing nails for 15 years & cat eyes for aWHILE, and I put everything i had into making it work....to no avail. Now, its been awhile since i purchased these, so maybe they've gotten an "upgrade" Im not aware or something, but id skip these altogether.

These work great, little bit of a learning curve if you're not used to cat eye polishes. I recommend testing before doing your nails, I found the cat eye polish I had reached optimal results by holding the magnet close for 15-20 seconds. These magnets have a little curved open space on the end that's convenient for resting it on a flat surface and lowering it down close to the nail without touching it. I also like the little pen magnet, it's great for touching up the design before curing.

Only about three of them made the indicated design they claim they make. The rest make okay designs, but they are not the ones they are supposed to make.

LOVE ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Other review's stating their dissatisfaction i must say that maybe its the cat eye polish being used These magnets worked with everyone of the cat eye polish that i have. i have the cheapest sets from here on Amazon!!. I want to also add the importance of holding magnet very very close to the nail + keep it there for the minimum of 10 seconds in order to see the desired effects. Play around with them. Don't give up You will not be disappointed!!
