Rosette Art: Instructions and Papers for Beautiful Rosettes to Share, Wear, and Display

I really love most of Cathe Holden's design work. If you have an interest in learning how to make paper rosettes this is a great Source book. Also, half of the included paper is scored to enable you to fold the rosettes easily.I paid $5.74 for a new book and it was certainly worth every penny. There were several very unique rosette ideas that I had not seen before. Looking forward to making some new paper rosette creations for cards and package decorations.

I usually pay attention to these sorts of things when ordering books but this one slipped past me. Book is pretty short and not much info. Honestly, making a rosette is something most of us did in grade school when we "folded fans". Pretty easy stuff. However, they have become so popular these days, and some of the applications for parties and scrapbooking are extraordinary. Would have liked to have seen more of these applications in the book. That said, there are some pretty interesting ideas on how to change them up in the book, and the ones featured were beautiful. Price is a bit hefty for amount of content.

I bought this book for my Kindle Fire HD and have enjoyed it. It's just a short piece with nicely written instructions. It could use more illustrations and sometimes the pictures appear after the description of a project. It might make sense in a printed version, but doesn't work so well on a tablet. Overall, I liked the book and find it very usable.

I had been bitten by the rosette bug while looking through Cathe Holden's blog a few years back. Then she wrote the book...and I needed a gift for graduation this year. I remembered that she had put a rosette in her book for making one out of money. Better yet, the book was available as an ebook, so I could purchase it 'right now' and read it 'right now.' And better yet? $5 for the ebook. Yes, indeed, the day I got the book was a great day! And the rosette I made for my friend's graduation was a huge hit. I highly recommend getting this book!!

Disappointing...though for what it's worth, I like the content ok but greatly misrepresented as a book. The cover of this opens to a book of creased paper ready for rosette making, quite pretty. But then within The cover is a tiny booklet...6"x8" and only 36 pages, adhered to the book of papers. I won't return it because I'm sure I'll use the papers but should be more clearly stated that this is not a book as pictured.

Love all that is Cathe Holden.....wish the book included more projects and less paper for crafting. Haven't used the book yet, but plan to in the near future. I want to create some ribbons for sure and Cathe has a way to get you inspired.

I am a mixed media artist, jeweler, quilter and floral designer. I have a weakness (addiction) to art and craft books....so i have many in my collection. This book was Not as great as I wanted it to be. I love the idea and do plan to make some but the book didn't Grab my attention like other craft books have.

Not exactly what I expected. Minimal instructions, but stunning photography. Wish things could have been broken down a little better. Images on the authors blog could not be found in the book nor instructions. Otherwise, an enjoyable feast for the creative eye.
